The offense game is there. It just needs to be developed more and that comes with practice. Lots of it ,and with the dedication to improving his game. Everyday, every season.

I can see the Capela comparison. They are similar in height, length, and build. One giant difference from my perspective is I think RWIII is a more natural basketball player. I keep going back to that baseline floater that he missed v. PHI. The body control and touch are something I have never seen Capela display.

That doesn't mean that I assume RWIII will end up a better player than CC. There are so many things that could sabotage his development. I just think that if he reaches 85% of his potential, he has a significantly higher ceiling.

This guy is not Fab Melo (RIP).

That play was a serious eye opener, miss or not. And the turnaround he hit was very smooth. This coming from a guy that I’ve expected to come in and score roughly zero points outside the paint as a rookie.

He moves so well, so different from the usual young bigs we’ve had over the last 10 or so years.

Something tells me Robert Williams III is going to be ripe for quote-ables this season.

Uhh, are there any realgm drs in the house? This artery condition sounds concerning. So he's going to be dealing with pain and cramps around his knees his entire career? Idk how they plan to manage that, but alrighty.

Well the Celtics and the other teams knew about this condition before the draft so they knew what they were taking in.

They'll manage it well, no doubt he'll be back in action and ready to play.... The vets on this team and training camp will be a major boost for him and a wake up call.

"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

This will be the red claws issue then in about 2 years a Beijing ducks issue.

Not mad at the pick or anything because you cannot expect a thing from a 27th pick but the guy is off to an awful start. Now the Celtics have to assign him a handler? That tells you everything you need to know about this kid.

You think this kid will be out of the league in two years? Almost as hot a take as the Bulls being better than the Celtics.

The Celtics assign specific coaches to work with each player. Williams situation is no different.

Then he has pain and tendinitis because of PAES, and maybe he plays with it. If we add that he has questionable work ethic according to reports, it is the perfect combination to demotivate him and kill his development. But of course, the first thing celtics do is make him play instead of trying to fix it, who wants to have treatment or surgery during the offseason when you can play with health issues.

Saw the kid for 6 minutes. Lottery talent. Maturity is a huge issue, but having a reassigned assistant coach is going to get him ready. It is kind of embarrassing for Williams, but Celtics just invested millions in him. They ain’t taking chances.

As far as injury, probably why he fell. I am sure it can be managed. He seems like a nice person, so that will help. Seems coachable.

But, this is for keeps. If you wanna be a kid, stay in college. Your college coach can protect you. Now? You Gotta be a pro now.

sounds like this is entirely treatable. No big deal.

I have a feeling that that a report is on the way that he'll be out the rest of the SL and most of the season to get surgery to fix this.
