more likely they will release either/both of beverley and teodosic!!

GET IT DONE , MCD

More than likely Teodosic is released within a week. Beverly - not so sure anymore. Clippers might want his defense

I think odds are pretty high Collison gets released too, so not sure Teodosic will end up the vet signing anyways.

Does dude think he’s set for life with 8 mil (pre-taxes)?

You know if Gambo was wrong about this someone would call him out for being wrong. That’s a damning report on Chriss if true.

I'd be set for like with 8 mil (pre-taxes). Hell, I'd probably be set for life with 1 mil, post taxes. Just be smart with your money.

Yeah, when I saw that post I was thinking $8 million pre tax? Hell yeah I'd be set with that for life...you'd have to be an idiot not to be if you wanted to be. But I figured Dez must just like to live extremely large.

I’m going for it after your Vegas o/u thread... 30 team parlay.

I’m sure NBA flameouts that jump around overseas live pretty great lives. For Chriss it would be quite a waste of talent after what we saw his rookie year. Granted we’re speculating on what’s going on with him right now.

8 million pre tax so about 4 million... I'd be set for life.

House paid off... Deposit the rest on a term deposit getting interest and you don't even need to work ever...just live conservatively.

I kinda hope this isn't true because I still want Smart next year. But I'd rather a team force the Celtics hand

U don't have to be fat to be out of shape. Don't think Gambo is lying. Truth in the middle somewhere..

Chriss probably de-conditioned and they just need to get his stamina back or build muscle to play backup center behind Ayton cause Dragan aka Darko can't. And Chandler gonna relax in his spa all season long.

I'd expect a Daniels or Dudley to be traded away for nothing... Allowing them to bring back Reed + Sauce + Shaq or Canaan or Teodosic if waived.

Knight, Teodosic, Okobo
Booker, Bridges, Reed
Warren, Jackson, King
Ariza, Bender, Chriss
Ayton, Sauce, Chriss

But having said all that, god it would be nice to have a legit PF on the team not named Bender or Chriss.

Prob need one more than a PG cause with Knight, Shaq, Okobo, Canaan u can prob manage until u figure it out next season.

But a PF.... Man I would welcome a trade

lol that's hilarious. Kings just out here throwing offers out hoping a team doesn't match. I hope they pay Smart the kind of money he's looking for so we don't get a chance at him. I think he's a vastly overrated player

Marcus Smart is barely above a league minimum player imo.

I'd love to see how efficient a Smart/Fox backcourt is......I mean then they have Hield, Bogdanovic, etc...

I guess they have a 1/2 defensive punch in the backcourt with that. Will be interesting if they give him an offer to see how much it is and if Boston matches.

Why are the Kings going after guards? Don't they have enough?

Not as much as those who think we should look into trading him would want, and then nothing near what those consider him near untouchable would want.

We just have to hope he improves. He had one bad season and a bad summer league and has a new coach and new system and has a summer to try and fix things. He seems in interviews so ready to work on his weaknesses but then watching him it didn't look like he remembered his January talk. I don't know.

It's still SUPER early. Even though he's older than a guy like Bender he only had one year in the league...so he needs some time.

I'm just glad we have some shooters...we may not need him much right away if the improvement isn't there.

You're right. He probably shouldn't even be in the league. Worst offensive PG in 30 years. Re-read that. He is that bad. There is nothing he does at a good level on that end of the court. He is a walking turnover who can't shoot and still takes a boatload of shots.
Then when you combine his horrid offense with his good defense, he still grades out as a VORP neutral player with negative ORtg-DRtg. He's a poor man's PJ Tucker (since PJ can hit a corner 3 and at least grab o boards). Also, you then factor in that he has Stevens, who no role player has performed even at the same level since leaving (Bradley fell off a cliff, as did IT, as did Crowder, etc.), and frankly he should be lucky to be on the YMCA teams. I think BBB league is calling.

Fans who want to give him 8 figures a year should lose their fandom and be forced to root for the Nets and other teams to sign middling role players to huge money. At least Demarre Carroll and Kent Bazemore are 2 way players. Why not volunteer to sign an equivalent role player who is even more 1 sided to a big deal. After all, since Booker sucks at D that is apparently all that matters in getting a PG, even though shooting matters too and we were just as bad at that. Let's just ignore that fact as well.

Signing Marcus Smart was always a vomit-worthy idea and the fact that nobody else wants to sign him ought to be pretty damn telling. I swear way too many fans fall for the intense guys who make it look hard.

We just don't have much reason to shop guys who have tools but are still developing. We wouldn't get equal value and we have the luxury of time. Unless you can package one of them with other pieces for a needle-moving star, we might as well see what they become.

Off topic but have you guys ever went to the general board and went to the final pages some of it goes back to 2007. A lot of suns threads too. For example a thread of someone asking if Larry brown would coach the suns. I read a few random threads

People also said Casey would make a great coach when he was an assistant. Now he has became a coach and won COY and gets thrashed in today's modern general board :o

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

All Rookie Second team after a bad 2017.... averaged 17+ points a game and played defense in 2018, second only to Mitchell..

And that was BAD??

ridiculous.

To me its clear... not a great shooter = bad in the eyes of some Suns fans here. If Westbrook was a rookie or 2nd year player on the Suns, even players like Butler and Durant who shot low 40% early in his rookie year.... some of you guys would want them lynched. Basically Suns should just field a bunch of Bookers and Currys it seems.

Ridiculous.

Funny, Draymond Green shot poorly the 3pt line last season and is not known as a "good" shooter but he is a max player and an all-star.

Josh Jackson has shown many things outside of Booker-like shooting that is common with other elite players and Suns fans hate him...

The team needs defense, all round ability and athletecism as much as shooting.... Jackson ticks all the boxes outside of being a 3pt sharp shooter... Its baffling really.

Jackson plays out of control and taking very very ill-advised shots. I wouldn't even care if he shoots 20% if he had a good shot selection. My problem with him is not his percentage. It's his shot selection and playing without a plan.
