Cubs VS Brewers 4/6/07 Game Thread (Game 4 of 162)

Post#1 » by Flames24Rulz » Thu Apr 5, 2007 9:51 pm

Since I'm on now, I figured I'd start up the thread for tomorrow night's game.

Pitching matchup:

Image

Rich Hill: (2006 Numbers) 6-7, 4.17 ERA, 2 CG, 1 shutout, 99.1 IP, 90 Ks/39 BBs

Image

Dave Bush: (2006 Numbers) 12-11, 4.41 ERA, 3 CG, 2 shutouts, 210 IP, 166 Ks/38 BBs

IMO, the pitching matchup favors us. But of course, you can't go by the pitching matchup alone as I'd say we had the matchup favor us on Opening Day, favored the Reds yesterday, and was a draw today. And of course, we went 1-2 in that sequence, winning the game that I thought would've been the least likely. Hill has owned the Brewers in his brief career against them, striking out 13 batters in just 26 plate apperances.

My key to the game is Michael Barrett. He needs to get out of his funk tomorrow, especially for his confidence. A pretty bad first three games for him, he just needs to put those games behind him and go into Milwaukee with a good attitude about it.

Probable lineup:
CF-Soriano
LF-Murton
1B-Lee
3B-Ramirez
RF-Jones
C-Barrett
2B-DeRosa
SS-Izturis
P-Hill

This game is going to be televised on WGN :D

The Rich Hill ERA begins.
This should be a very evenly matched game. Should be exciting.
First chance Cubs fans have to go up north and attack Milwaukee.

This is almost considered home games for us because of our fan base heading up there.
I have been to a Brewers/Cubs game in Milwaukee for 3 straight years and plan to head up again.

Can't wait to see what Hill does in his first start. I'm invested in him, both fantasy-wise (have him in 3 leagues) and emotionally (always loved him). This is his breakout year baby.

Rich Hill is the mean, Ann Arbor represent!

I'll be spending my Friday evening the way you'd expect any burgeoning socialite to; Cubs at 8, Hornets at 8, Nuggets at 10:30.

Why do they put the two good games on at the same time always?

Why is Jacque Jones batting second?

He has a terrible OBP and is hitting .083 this season.

I like Floyd/Bush matchup though.

Floyd will go deep tonight.
