1. Was Devonte unsigned? Is that why there is no insignia on his jersey?

2. Is it just me or does Tracy Morgan look like Freeman's pops a little bit?

I am incredibly surprised the Hawks would place this pic on their official Twitter.

Mayweather is still pretty toxic during the #MeToo movement, right? Or just deplorable by common decency standards...

Why Floyd Mayweather can still box after beating women

No photos, no central authority and black victims.

Why does Mayweather remain such a compelling figure despite his repeated and documented instances of domestic abuse?

Yeah that's pretty sick, but honestly we have leaders (so called) already making light of the metoo movement. The culture is broken because no one seems to care anymore. I wonder how much Trae knows about him.

But to your point why would the Hawks post this. Horrible decision. On another note, I had no idea Mayweather was so short but i don't really follow boxing.

The replies/responses to this tweet on Hawks Twitter is encouraging and refreshing. For once, we're all in agreement.

Not Hawks related ... but... Might the Hawks be next?

"Is Atlanta finally destined for a championship parade (or more)?

Atlanta, the city too busy to hate, unless it’s the postseason and then all bets are off, may be on the verge of something special.

Whether this is the beginning of some massive cosmic sports market correction can’t be confirmed yet. Parade permits: still available. But a quick look around suggests a couple of the area’s voodoo dolls are being drained of energy.

Georgia is among the favorites to win a national championship. The Falcons have the look of a possible Super Bowl team, in a season when the game is being played at their home stadium. Atlanta United, still MLS toddlers, made the playoffs in their first season and currently sit with the league’s best record.

The Braves … the Braves? … the Braves have the second-best record in the National League and may be on their way to winning 90 games and a division title."

Man, a town of two hundred~~~

No wonder he's such a late-bloomer

Man, Huerter seems to stick out like a sore thumb in all of these photo ops.

He strikes me as a guy more comfortable on the court than in front of the camera....it's actually kind of refreshing.

Now this is some worthwhile PR and community outreach during the dog days of the NBA offseason. What former Hawks do we think are participating?

Alan Henderson? Eldridge Recasner? Cadillac Anderson? Toni Kukoc?

Atlanta cops to play basketball against retired Hawks players

Who would win in a basketball game between Atlanta cops and retired Hawks players? We’re about to find out.

The Atlanta Police Department will host the city’s first Peace Games on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation and Aquatic Center. The free and public game will be played at 11:30 a.m., after local youth are able to have private conversations with Hawks alumni and APD officers, a press release said.

APD Chief Erika Shields said the event is a good “opportunity for officers to have much-needed positive interactions with young people.”

“When we positively interact with a child on the front end, we have the potential to change their outlook on law enforcement for life,” she said. “The significant impacts of building these valuable relationships with Atlanta’s youth can be endless.”

Spoiler:
Do you think they'll let Mookie out for the weekend to participate?

:noway:

Sorry. Very poor taste.

Paging Dr. Alan Henderson! He’s gotta be our team doctor due to obvious reasons...his background.

No doubt in my mind that Flip Murray could take over that game.

I sure hope Kev Willis is involved in this, one way or another.

I'm guessing even at 56, he's still got it.

(Please don't break a hip, old man.)
