There was an article on Cleaning the Glass about this, its worth reading, that's what the Ringer people are referencing. Cleaning the Glass is a subscription site mainly but its well worth the coin.

Hey, if it keeps up in the regular season, at least we can say that we made the best pick in the draft. We just traded him away.

Miles looks solid. I'm not going to compare him to this guy or the next. He's what I expect, someone who nudges the needle forward; does nothing spectacular but is overall net positive.

I mean if he can come in and be better than MKG offensively, score some points and be a good hustle starter on the glass, I’m fine with that.

That’s his ceiling. We definitely did not draft a future star or someone whom you can build around.

Im assuming you meant another player, since Walker is obviously going to get a ton of minutes.

I'd say he will play a bit with Monk....Miles' spot in the rotation currently is a huge question mark. And I don't see WHG getting a lot of minutes barring injury or trade.

I thought you guys were happy with WHG?

I like the kids you have in support roles to Kemba. Maybe I’d throw Marvin or Batum in as the 5th.

Anyway, best of luck. I’ll be watching some CHA games this season as an NBA fan

I like Willy but Zeller and Biz are better players right now. None can really play the 4 for very long though

Yeah, as stated its just a matter of depth. I like him a lot and would love for him to get some minutes to get comfortable and develop, but with Zeller, Biyombo and even Kaminski being currently better than him at C there just isn't a lot of opportunity. That being said, Zeller is always hurt, and we could always make another trade...we shall see.

I think you'll be surprised. My opinion is he'll play at least 15 minutes per game. But, I guess it depends on what your opinion on a lot of minutes is. 15 is an improvement for WHG.

Zeller-20
WHG-15
Biyombo-13

I also see these numbers changing as one or two of the centers outplays the rest. I do hope they don't play Kaminsky at the 5. Honestly, he's my least favorite of the bigs, even if he can hit the 3. He just seems apathetic and I don't like that attitude.

I don't think Frank is apathetic, I just think he doesn't have the stamina, strength, or athleticism to play center minutes. He's a stretch big that has to play next to better, more athletic frontcourt defenders when he's on the floor. On paper it's nice to have a shooter at the 5, but it just doesn't work defensively unless we've got a good help defender covering for his mistakes. In most cases, that guy is going to be Zeller or Bismack, who of course would be the 5 in that situation.

Bridges at the 4 may be an upgrade defensively over Frank.

Frank at the 5 is a wash with Hernangomez defensively. It's an upgrade for perimeter offense. It's a downgrade rebounding that is balanced by Miles being at the 4 and MKG at the 3.

Odd man out should be Hernangomez, not Miles Bridges. Biz is here as well. Might see a trade.

Zeller should be getting more than 20 minutes if he can stay healthy and impact the game as he has in the past. Let's not disregard that he could still be getting better and should become better just by playing at a faster pace.

Go ahead and put kemba in the 3 point contest and Miles in the dunk contest for ASG.

He almost made that and it would have been straight up nasty.
