Nobody should be getting down on Knox after today, just like nobody should've gotten too hyped from the previous game. He's shown the tools to be an NBA player, which is all you really want to see at this point. I think he'll be fine, and I hope we have the patience to let him develop.

That goes for Frank Ntilikina as well.

The people who want/need instant gratification, I implore you to go be a Laker fan or something.

Don’t let Mitch performance distract you from the fact that Knox called for a pick and Hicks said nah you good.

I read Mitchell was rated as a better shot blocker than Bamba coming out of HS.

I have been saying that I see Anthony Davis in Mitchell Robinson but no one would listen. Now Fran Fanschilla says the same thing and now it is being repeated.

Most impressive part to me was the 1:31 mark. It is an athletic marvel the way he grabbed that ball, spun in one motion and did a 360 dunk that quickly.

Embrace it. I love me some knox but i expect to see a lot of these type of performances this year.

He's only 18. I expect him to have these type of shooting #'s.

ON THE ROAD TO 0-82!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a problem.

3-4 from the line today.

I mean, I get what your saying and I'm not down on Knox but uh, when we start looking at FT shooting as a reason not to get down on a player you know he had a subpar game. It happens.

Ben Wallace? Or is scoring above 5ppg a prerequisite?

Agree on everything, but 14 points on 20 shots is horrid.

Yeah, definitely. Quite a few were good looks with good rotation/arc, they just didn't fall. Also, they're Defense is tough and he got hit on A LOT of attempts.

It's actually promising IMO that an Elite team like Boston actually game planned to shut down Knox and he was STILL able to hit double figures! :dontknow:

--Mags

I was working, so I only got to watch the highlights, but Knox was still impressive to me. Though he took 20 shots, almost every one looked like it was within the flow of the game. And I include him taking it to the hole as part of the flow because that's going to be such a deadly move once he builds strength and learns to finish better and/or develop a step back jumper. Also, he looked positively gassed from carrying this team through the first four games.

Bonus: Robinson blocked another three point shot! And someone actually got a lob to him. I really hope that becomes a staple early and often for the Knicks.

Mitch has also blocked more 3pt attempts in just 4 games in SL than any big I have ever seen. Shooters were legit scared to pull the trigger from the corner when they saw him in the vicinity with the threat to run at them.

There was also a sequence in the 3rd quarter I think, where he defended the pick and roll perfectly. He switched onto the guard but it wasn't the typical "show"....he actually stalled the ballhandler hard, then recovered back to his roll man in textbook fashion. You cannot teach that. Kid hasn't had quality coaching yet and just knows. For instance Amar'e and Kanter still haven't learned that.

More passive than he's been but the game was messy with Trier running the point. Wasn't a pretty game all around. He drove into traffic/bodies quite a bit and didn't get calls.
