I think Wendell carter is going to be a solid nba player but I don't see an allstar. He's most likely going to be an ibaka like impact player.

if carter can move laterally he's got a high ceiling. better version of horford is within range.

He's repeatedly said he wants young, athletic, long, defensive oriented (or at least potential to be coached up on that end) guys to build with. Now tell me what boxes does Willy check off in that group? Even if you think he didn't get a fair shake it's still clear he wasn't the type Perry wanted in NY long term. Willy didn't do himself any favors by leaking stories through his agent that he wanted to play or be traded.. It is what it is he's gone and we got 2 2nd rounders from a team that is projected to be bad for the next 3-5 years. No harm no foul in my opinion. I think Mitch's potential is higher than Willy's anyway(and he's much younger) so I'm glad we've got him instead as our bench big for the future...

Mills mentioned Willy initially as part of the future. Also if they were not confident in Willy’s ability they likely could’ve traded him that offseason when his value was higher. It was mishandled because Willy should’ve been starting and Kanter perma benched so that Kanter wouldve opted out this season. Not to mention Willy’s relationship with KP.

What legit offers though? Nobody is giving up 1st round picks anymore and especially for backup big men...So what better offer do you think we realistically could have gotten for Willy? If you just wanted to keep Willy that's a whole different argument in and of itself. I don't think he's any good so I could care less what we moved him for personally...

willy suffers from being the dinosaur at the end of the cretaceous problem. his game isn't trendy now and he's ill equipped to become more agile and add range etc.

Even Clifford was **** talking silly last year after Charlotte traded for him. Just because he finally pulled his head out of his ass this year doesn't change the fact that last year he had to go.

There was a boatload of dumb garbage said about Willy on this board

I get that people may have had a beef for him being out of shape, i.e. not wanting it or being unprofessional and perhaps that was warranted, but ............

he was always talented and had incredibly good post/pivot moves and people typically wrote him off as trash which was pure stupidity, because it was never a talent issue. It was a will and desire issue. I hope he does well

The one real issue I have with Perry. Getting 2 2nd rd picks is ok but, he should have been kept. Kyle should have been dealt.

Water under the bridge. What's done is done. I'm fine with Mitchell and Knox and the rest of the youth we have. Billy could have been a part of that.

Hurt. Well Knox wasn't good but still the flashes. Just tired mostly. But he's young too of course.

I'm thrilled with Knox. No regrets.

That being said, Mikal has had some really impressive sequences in this game today. He's going to be an impact player in this new Suns lineup

Was that supposed to cover up the fact that he looks like a role player?

Looooooool imagine having top pick paired with another top 10 pick and your actual coach on sidelines and still losing to team led by someone who plays for Muratbey Usak
