Mahimi in order to get Oubre but it would likely cost WCS.
Deng for an unprotected 2019, protected 2021 but send an expiring vet out
Call up Denver and get Faried for a protected first.
Parsons is very expensive, they'd have to take ZBO and really offer something good.
See, I think you are going to have to look at the very expensive Whiteside/Parsons type contracts to get something good. I don't think the Lakers give up Deng for this, when they can just stretch him. Protected Denver first is meh.
Mahimi/Oubre I could get behind, but I think the Wiz just wait until next off season to figure out the Porter/Oubre issue.
I guess on my end, I would rather get something good now (Richardson, Oubre level guys) rather than wait till next off season.
I'm down with taking on Mahimi to get Porter, not so much Oubre.
The Wizards have Mahimi/Porter/Brown/Wall/Beal tied up for 109 million next season. Offer Oubre 4/60 and dare them to match. Of course we would have to overpay and fight off other teams but I think we can sell him on a young core where he could immediately start.
If Washington matches they would put themselves into some serious luxury tax for a non contender with 7 more slots to fill out. They would be approaching 130-135 million dollar payroll just with minimum level contracts. No way do they do that for a 6th seed team.
I wouldn't handicap ourselves with another year of Mahimi for Oubre. I like him and if they are willing to take on Randolph sure, but not giving any additional value to do so.
