Bulls have almost zero chance barring major injury of home court playoff series......Outside of GS and Hous, I think the rest of the west is a bit over blown, I don't think OKC would run away with the east if they were in it, in fact (homer alert) I think Boston is better then any western confrence team other then GS or Houston if Kyrie and GH are in decent shape. Philly, Indiana and Washington are all good teams, during the regular season Toronto is good too.
I think Utah is better than any non-Boston team in the East. 10/16 teams sorted by point differential were in the West last season and Cleveland secured a home court in first round with the 2nd worst defense in the league. Chicago will be completely fine if they are good on one end.
WOJ [Updated, p3]: Bulls sign Jabari, 2/$40M (no matching)

I'd say healthy seasons from Parker and lavine with added development from Markannen, portis plus Dunn would put them close to league average offensively next year. They were actually quite good in the short time before dealing mirotic. Replacing those minutes with Wendell Carter would not be half bad.
If nwaba is back and playing rotation minutes alongside Dunn, they can put line ups out that can defend as well.

Don't know what they would match, but the Bucks are about 8M below the luxury tax threshold. So every dollar Jabari's deal goes over 8M costs them $2.50. So for example a 15M deal would cost them 25M this year.
The Bucks are hard-capped at the apron ($129.8mil) due to the Ilyasova & Lopez signings. I believe they have about $14-15mil in room below the apron.

Interesting, because they spent over the tax payer MLE for Ily so now they're hard capped?
A 2 year (perhaps even with a team option) front loaded deal would be the ideal play in this case.

I dont think CHI will have much to worry about here. I also dont think Jabari agrees to any option other than a player option. A player with his medical history probably wont want to be subjected to something like that, as it would mean he'd need to prove his health for at least consecutive seasons before getting the payout he believes he's earned.

Apparently they plan on playing him at the three if they land him. That defense is going to be a tire fire

Yet, Utah had a losing record against Eastern teams if I recall. Sixers had a winning record against the Western playoff teams. I feel some people are quick to discount the East, especially in regular season. A team might look better on paper, but they might match up poorly during the lower intensity RS matches. We got killed by Sac, but won both matches against the Spurs (and Utah) for Pete's sake. You might be right, but I disagree.

Bulls’ defense seen in background.

Yeah, I cannot see a way to get to that take on Utah if we are going on point differential. Philly and Toronto had better net ratings. Philly, Toronto, Boston and Utah were 4 of the top 5 defenses in the league so it is an interesting subset of teams to talk about.

I can't check right now but since Gobert returned from injury and they started clicking they were either top of the league or second only to Golden State in point differential.
Of course a Utah team with and without Gobert is entirely different and there's more to be said about their over reliance on him and his health over a season.

Hopefully the Bucks can still workout a sign and trade for Parker. R.Lopez and Valentine for Parker and Wilson?

Juck.

If I understand correctly, Bucks can't match a $20m per year offer anyway because they're hard capped right? So did they just renounce the QO to... save face? Just to be nice? Help me out here.

So did he consider the Kings at all?
Was this simply using the Kings to increase the offer?

Makes me wonder if they sign someone today before someone else can, or bid on a RFA themselves.
