You could have said the same before he faced Anders. Similar level prospect. Actually Militech had Lovato ranked just above Anders when they were in the same org. He'd work Machida on the ground worse than Weidman and Romero, if he could get it there.

But I'd opt for the Chidi fight. Looked great in last outing, can fight at distance, and has counter timing.

Machida has to fight somebody. There's not another established top 10 or even maybe 20 vet who is not way passed their prime in the division, besides Moose. Bader is occupied and they don't want to kill him off as 205 lb champ. Maybe Davis, who needed to fight someone and Machida could avenge that false loss.

Maybe similar LEVEL prospect but completely different stylistically and I have a hard time seeing Lovato taking and keeping Machida down. Lovato only has 8 fights. That said, if they're fine with killing off Lovato for now then make the fight.

So Bellator got their own streaming deal with DAZN.

It's a nice band-aid, but long-term will hurt them. They lose visibility. Need to be announcing how they're going on a tv network in the sport's category or w/ a history of mma like Showtime. UFC's streaming is a lot more mainstream.

Anyways, the first card on DAZN is going to be free and loaded. It has Rory-Moose, Rampage-Wand, and some ww tourney fights. But sounds like they're still going to drag their feet on MVP-Daley.

Schilling and Daley are talking about fighting each other in MMA. Should be in kickboxing bcuz they have no interest in the ground game, and certainly isn't at the caliber of the ww tourney.

As long as MVP is in the tourney it's going to force him to fight some fools, so that's what's important.

The prelims and postlims of 201 were more interesting than the main card. They got to stop trying to make Randy's son happen. They never should have started. He didn't inherit his dad's physical genes.

The woman they should be spotlighting is Keri Melendez. She's got the name, the looks, and the look. She's 34 so they're running out of time, but her boxing timing is excellent, sets up hard kicks, she's quick in moving to the next position on the ground, and has sufficient technique at least. Fast track her.

Archuleta looked great, always socking Peralta when he was out of position during scrambles, he changed levels off strikes, and loved that footwork to bait Robbie in lean down and drill him w/ that overhand right. Then finished him off w/ the classic double hammerfist. He's 19-1 now. He's a contender already.

Can't complain about Ed Ruth. Not an overly impressive performance, but was well-rounded, in control the whole time, and got the finish at the end. Should get a tourney berth. Just didn't live up to BJM's next JBJ hype.

Jordan Young was even less impressive moving up a weight class. He got over-powered in the clinch and on the ground at times. But he showed good desire to throw everything at him but the kitchen sink to get the triangle-armbar finish late. Think he should just be more disciplined w/ his training and diet and move back down to 185. Talented guy, but progression is moving kind of slow. 9-0, but looking for that signature win, or just to be on a main card.

Joey Davis has great cardio, vicious gnp, a super quick shot, and decent stand-up. It's early but he's promising.

Tyrell Fortune is a disappointment. He's a lot like Halsey was, relying on mauling his opponents without setting up strikes at distance, advancing position on the ground, and applying proper sub technique. This will only take him so far in 2018, even at hw.

So California re-weighed fighters on fight night for that last event which is interesting - for instance Ed Ruth was at a 19 pound disadvantage in the cage.

What the hell? Can’t believe they’re having a good card on there. Hope they have on demand replays. I don’t usually watch Bellator cards live.

Does anyone know what DAZN is and where I can find it? Doesn't seem to be available on Roku.

Are you in the U.S? It hasn't launched here yet I think.

I think he was protecting his head. Thunderous kick by Koreshkov. Bellator has some scary strikers in the division. Although Daley is nothing but one so he shouldn't be in the tourney imo. Can't wait for that still. Amosov looked really good so he should be in it, but I expect them to go names as hard as they can considering the hw tourney. Are still making the mistake of not building much.

Patricio won, crushed him in 2 of the rounds, eeked out a 3rd, didn't show a lot of urgency and believed he was further ahead than he was. Not a stellar, inspiring victory by Patricio. Kind of spinning his wheels now. Understandable because of the perpetual rematches he noted. Said he was done w/ them (which RZ will appreciate), other than he'd consider Curran since they are 1-1 and it's been close. Let's see that Manny Sanchez fight already, Curran/McKee winner, and then maybe he can settle a score w/ Chandler. He's obsessed w/ this SBG thing and Gallagher who is a bantamweight and prospect.

I've seen that before on spinning back kicks. Comes in by surprise, they think they can escape, and the air is partially from the power of the kick itself.

His opponent did suck relative to what he should be facing at this point though. May have been preserving him for the tourney, while providing a payday in the interim like he asks.

I really hope they make Koreshkov vs. Rory happen, that’s the fight I wanted to see as soon as he signed with Bellator.

Bellator announced tourney details today. It's technically going to be a 8/10 man tourney, w/ the 6 most proven fighters getting byes, and then the 4 less proven ones competing for the last two spots. I kind of like the format because not facing the elites in the division off the bat is good for the prospect's development.

The field for the competition will be: Koreshkov, Lima, Rory, Larkin, Fitch, MVP, Amosov, Gracie, Ruth, TBA. Presumably the first 4 will have a preliminary bout. Last fighter could be Fialho, or Storley. Waiting on Storley's upcoming bout? No Daley as of now. Approve of that decision since he rejects the ground game when it's mma.

Only fight that's been announced AFAIK is the trilogy to Koreshkov-Lima on that Sept. 29th card. We're going to find out who's best once and for all. But this could make for clunky scheduling (as all of Coker's tournament's have), since they'll have to wait for the prelim fighters. Gotta get them on cards soon. Rory is going to be fighting for the mw title all the while. Still looking forward to this.

Bellator's handling of him has been almost Pride-esque. Matched up absurdly tough relative to experience-level every step of the way. Sank out of the gate but has been swimming since. This time it'll be amid a shark in San Jose.

That's going to be a must see card for MMA fans: Mousasi-Rory, Lima-Koreshkov 3, Rampage-Wand 4, Pico-Higo...so far.
