So Dwight ended up giving up 5 mil. Does this mean we took on an extra year of Mozgov for no reason whatsoever?

No. As mentioned elsewhere the team couldn't count the buyout money towards the summer cap situation. Team would not have had the non-taxpayers MLE had they kept Dwight and negotiated the same deal.

Further 3-5 mil is what the Nets got him to agree to cut ... Moz makes 7.8 mil less than Dwight this season.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Nets reporter saying closer to $4M. Even so, that's too make him go away... at least Mozgov is available if necessary.

This is about what Marvin would get if he were a FA in 2018. Same age and similar players/impact... although Marvin has the edge on shooting, Luc is the superior defender.

To put into perspective, Marvin's making over triple is real market value IMO

Would have been nice to pick him up cheap. Could have cushioned the blow of trading MKG or Marv.

Marcus Smart is basically begging for up to 15 million. I'm sure teams are jumping for joy to get this guy under 15.

If he said under 10, then he might get some hits.

Ultimately the Celtics will have their way and get him for the QO

He’s not worth $15 million. And put him on any team outside of Boston and they’ll likely bench him for shooting them out of games before playing him consistent minutes for his defensive intangibles.

Funny that Faried isn’t even mentioned in the Lin trade on most headlines. He went from being a borderline all-star that was nicknamed Manimal and was even invited to Team USA minicamp into being a total afterthought.

nobody on that bench is remotely exciting tbh but their starting lineup 2-4 is nice and full of potential, and Dunn will be a good rotation PG as well.

Yes, and add in Chandler Hutchinson and they are looking very interesting.

Why not if it’s been the most effective play in Vegas? He just prematurely set the stage for his son to be a coaching candidate the same way his father did before him.

The key for the bulls is parker and lavine staying healthy.

their bench is nothing special, but 3-5 are at least solid players. Its not much worse than our bench.

Can Parker defend the 3 at all after his injuries or did it Morrison him?
