They're all clowns and an embarrassment to actual Lakers fans who were here before Kobe and will still be here after LeBron.

For Memphis must be Pau Gasol, although some of the older fans must throw in Steve Francis' name here.

Yeah because Lakers have always had incredibly likeable figures like Ron Artest on the roster.

decent fun offseason question from OP jacked by OP's own doing...

As raptors fan, I would say Tracy McGrady. I think most Raptor fans would want to treat T-MAC like he was one of our own but he's clearly identified as a Magic or Rockets among the rest of the league, which is fair. His best years were in Orlando and Houston.

There are other notable players that played for us and still get some love but aren't really Raptors: The Dream, Chauncey Billups, Muggsy Bogues, Mark Jackson to name a few.

Depends on how it plays out. Steph is clearly the king and I think most honest fans would probably rank KD below Dray and Klay as a "favorite" but he also doesn't fit the context of how the question was asked. GS fans love KD for the most part, he just hasn't been around as long. That said, I do think the "he's one of us" feeling has accelerated just by virtue of the criticism he's taken from the basketball community and how that has extended to the Warriors in general. Maybe shades of LeBron in Miami depending on how it turns out long term.

For Miami, two names stand out;

First is Brent Barry. We traded Ike Austin for him because we thought he'd complete our lineup. Instead he couldn't deal with Riley's practices and dipped in the off-season. Had we kept Austin, we probably would have gotten past the Knicks.

The second is Jamal Mashburn. He disappeared in big moments, left and right, passing up game winning shots to the likes of Clarence Weatherspoon. Then we trade him to Charlotte, and has a huge playoff series against us (then essentially disappears and is never at that level of basketball ever again).

Hate those guys...

Mark Aguirre comes to mind for me for the Pistons.
Adrian Dantley was one of the Bad Boys. Mark Aguirre never was.

We rooted for Derek Fisher within the last decade. Kobe Bryant is/was a primadonna douchebag if there ever was one (and we loved him for it).

True fans root for their team regardless of who's on it. If you hate Lebron more than you love your own team than you're not a true fan since the Laker's success isn't what is most important to you. Lebron's failure is. That's not the mindset of a Laker fan, that's the mindset of a Kobe fan who just adopted the team and casually follows it since he retired.

I watch baskeball because of the team I love to watch. As a Lakes' fan, only 'bastard son' in my list are players who refused to play for this team.....Dwight Howard, PG13. If you play for this team.....love you all.

Which of the other 29 teams wouldn't want Bron, enlighten me.

Pacers have a name...PEJA
Once they have that golden shining moment and it comes to them in a dream or whatever and they understand that, that's when this team and this franchise will go to another level from where it was when I was here.

George was never a Laker thus never a bastard son.
