Dudes who were calling him slow, or dumb must feel mad stupid. He is actually pretty smart and is getting more and more comfortable with each interview.

Would have loved to see how many of the guys here would have interviewed at 17-19 years old when most of those interviews people were making fun of and cringing about were recorded.

This kid is actually a pretty high IQ player from what he has shown instinctively, without much high level coaching and taking 14 months away from competitive games.

I love Mitchell and I already praised him the day we drafted him but there is no way I am calling the dude smart. Not in any lifetime.

However, he is smart on the basketball court from all evidence I've seen and that's all I care about. Dude could be Forrest Grump for all I care. As long as he knows how to play on the court and dominate effortlessly as he seems to be doing now then it's all good. The sky is the limit for Robinson.

What evidence has he shown you to make you feel so confident that he isn't smart?

introverted means dumb in some peoples world.

Such an incredible sight in Knicks uniforms.

With KP you have could have three jammers lobbing to each other. This board will be delirious when that starts to click

Mitch is going to make drives by all of our guys so hard to defend when all you have to do is just throw it up in the air for him to jam. That's the Capela factor that helps Harden that Fiz was thinking of

The Capela Lob was unstoppable during the Playoffs. They shoulda ran it every play.

It is not hard to imagine Mitch having some very big games this season

I'm just noticing it now but Knox drew the entire Celtics team to him on that drive. They schemed for this dude in summer league like he was prime MJ

I had an "uh-oh" moment when I first saw him interviewed. Upon further review, I realize this kid has a speech impediment which makes him not want to speak. His BBIQ, based on his improvement during summer league and his instincts on the court, is very high.

When he talks about his game and what he needs to work on, again, clearly no dummy. He has all the tools to be a really special player.

didn't sound like an impediment to me. Just sounded Super nerdy and really young. Like a kid who spent most of his time in the basement playing video games instead of being outside socializing. The way he avoids the camera with his eyes....scream "socially inept" like so much of his generation. Though inept is likely too harsh a discroption

he was just camera shy.

in one of the mcd all american fluff pieces bamba said mitch is loud and funny in the locker room

The soft-spoken Robinson wasn’t long with his answers while on the podium, but spent time up there joking around with his fellow All-Americans, especially his fellow East Teamer Bamba.

“Mitchell, he’s a character,” Bamba said. “You might not notice because around you guys he’s very shy.

“But in the locker room he’s the loudest guy, he’s the funniest guy. I really liked playing with him and against him.”

just listened to this podcast with mitch's high school coach. he said mitch ran the full length of the court in 2.8 seconds.

add 0.2 seconds to that for measurement error and it would still be a historic time.
