SAN ANTONIO SPURS ANNOUNCE 2018 PRESEASON SCHEDULE
Tickets for 2018 Spurs Preseason Go On Sale at Noon

The San Antonio Spurs today announced a five-game 2018 preseason schedule that tips off Sept. 30 and includes three home contests. Tickets for the 2018 preseason will go on sale at noon today at Spurs.com. The 2018-19 Spurs season is presented by H-E-B....

All preseason games can be heard on WOAI-AM 1200 with Bill Schoening calling the action. Home games will also be broadcast in Spanish on KXTN 107.5 FM with Paul Castro.

Preseason tickets will be available for purchase online at Spurs.com beginning at noon today. Tickets may also be purchased by calling (210) 225-TEAM or at the AT&T Center Southeast Box Office Monday through Friday from noon to 5:30 p.m. or on weekend event days beginning three hours prior to the event.

2018-19 Spurs Season Ticket Members are guaranteed their seats for every 2018 home Spurs preseason game. To join the Spurs Family, contact a Spurs season ticket representative at Spurs.com/SeasonTickets or 210-444-5050.

SAN ANTONIO SPURS ANNOUNCE 2018-19 SEASON SCHEDULE
Spurs Will Host the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 17 for Season Opener - Single Game Tickets Go On Sale Tuesday, August 14

The San Antonio Spurs will tip off the 2018-19 season at home on Wednesday, Oct. 17 vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. at the AT&T Center. Visit Spurs.com or download the Official Spurs App to view the entire 2018-19 schedule. The 2018-19 Spurs season is presented by H-E-B.

Single game tickets for the entire 2018-19 regular season will go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 14 at noon. On Monday, Aug. 13, Spurs Season Ticket Members will have the first chance to purchase additional individual game tickets, followed by Spurs Fan Club members and AT&T Center All-Access subscribers. Tickets will be available for purchase online at Spurs.com, ATTCenter.com or at the AT&T Center Box Office.

The Spurs will host the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors on Nov. 18 and March 18. Other notable Spurs home games include: the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 27 and Dec. 7; the Houston Rockets on Nov. 10 and Nov. 30; the Boston Celtics on Dec. 31; the Toronto Raptors on Jan. 3; and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Jan. 10 and March 2.

ANNUAL RODEO ROAD TRIP: February 4 - 25:

The Spurs open their 17th annual rodeo road trip Feb. 4 at Sacramento. This year’s trek comprises eight games in every time zone, split by an eight-day break for the All-Star game in the middle. After facing the Kings, the Spurs head to Golden State, Portland, Utah and Memphis. After the All-Star break, the Spurs finish off the trip at Toronto, New York and Brooklyn.

So some stats are emerging after the regular season schedule has been released, and there are some positives for us. One is that in the strength of schedule we are in the middle of the pack. We stand at 15th overall (really tied for tenth with several other teams), though it'll be interesting how that breaks down pre- and post-AS break. Last season, our post-AS schedule was near if not at the top in difficulty.

We will be eighth in terms of miles traveled at 48,459, but we always have the annual Rodeo Road Trip so it's something we're used to. It is split into two parts with the AS break in between, but the teams we're facing will be a challenge: Sacto, GSW, Portland, Utah, Memphis - AS break - Toronto, NY, Brooklyn.

We're tied for third worst with 19 games with rest advantage (Minny is top with 26), which is balanced out by being fourth best with 17 games with rest disadvantage (Blazers are at the bottom with 27).

Breaking down the 2018-19 Spurs schedule

The season by the numbers:

* Nationally televised Spurs games: 25 (12 on NBA TV)
* Back to backs: 13
* FOGAFINIs (Fourth Game in Five Nights): 0
* FIGASENIs (Fifth Game in Seven Nights): 1 (Nov. 24th)
* Home and homes: 3 (LAL in early December, DEN in late December, OKC in early January)
* Rodeo Road Trip: 8 games (SAC, GSW, POR, UTA, MEM, TOR, NYK, BKL) and 3,665 air miles traveled
* Longest home stand: 6 games (From Dec. 7th to Dec 17th)

November will be tough

14 of the Spurs’ first 25 games will be on the road, which includes a grueling stretch in mid-November in which they’ll play eight of ten away from home, with two separate stops in San Antonio functioning more as another leg of a road trip than anything....

In total, the Spurs will play 15 games in November — nine of them on the road, with the other six against Houston (twice), Golden State, New Orleans, Memphis and Orlando.

The end of the season is a bit soft

Free Event is a Chance to See the 2018-19 Spurs Squad in Action Prior to the Regular Season Home Opener on Oct. 17

The San Antonio Spurs are inviting fans to the AT&T Center for the 2018 Silver & Black Open Scrimmage, presented by Cheerios, on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. The free event featuring a Spurs intra-squad scrimmage is a unique opportunity to see the 2018-19 team in action prior to the regular season home opener on Oct. 17.

The scrimmage will tip off at 7 p.m. and all fans in attendance can take advantage of $1 draft beer and $1 soda at select locations, plus 25 percent off in the Spurs Fan Shop and special ticket offers available exclusively at the 2018 Silver & Black Open Scrimmage.

The free event will have open seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open to the public at 6 p.m., and parking at the AT&T Center will also be free. Fans unable to attend the scrimmage can watch the event streamed live on the Spurs Facebook page.

The Spurs host the Minnesota Timberwolves for the regular season opener on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Individual and season tickets for the 2018-19 campaign are available at all levels. 76 Games Airing Locally on FOX Sports Southwest, KENS 5 and CW35

The San Antonio Spurs announced today their 2018-19 broadcast schedule, highlighted by 76 games airing locally in high definition (HD) on FOX Sports Southwest (also streamed live on the FOX Sports app), KENS-TV (CBS 5) and KMYS-TV (CW35). FOX Sports Southwest will air 60 games this season, KENS 5 will broadcast 12 games and CW35 will carry the action for four games. Six regular-season games for the Silver and Black will be carried exclusively on national TV. The season tips off on KENS 5 when the Spurs host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. FSSW will carry the Spurs’ first road game of the year on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Portland. San Antonio’s home matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers on TNT on Thursday, Nov. 15 will be the first exclusively national Spurs broadcast of the season.

Veteran broadcaster Bill Land returns to call his 16th season of Spurs basketball as the lead play-by-play announcer and former Spur Sean Elliott returns for his 18th season as the lead analyst. Dan Weiss will make his debut as the primary studio host and will be joined in the studio by Matt Bonner. Ric Renner joins the crew for Spurs road games on FSSW.

KENS 5 will air 12 games this season, including the Spurs home opener against Minnesota and the Feb. 6 game at Golden State. KENS 5 will also air exclusive Spurs content within their newscasts and digital sites, led by veteran local sportscaster Joe Reinagel. KENS 5 is the Official Television Station of the San Antonio Spurs....

...Beginning on Dec. 8, basketball fans looking for more Spurs coverage can also tune in to “Max Spurs”, hosted by Chuck Miketinac. “Max Spurs” airs weekends on KABB-TV (FOX 29). Check your local listings for details.
