Can't see Toronto taking on salary in this trade given their tax situation. I could see a DD + OG for Kawhi + Green trade. Simple and easy.

As a Raptors fan, i'm hoping this trade has taken this long because Kawhi will sign an extension before being traded :pray:

I'm also conflicted.. Have loved the guy since the Raps drafted him, has put the city and franchise on his back and achieved a plethora of franchise records. Yes he has his blunders, but he's a 2nd team all NBA player with an elite offensive game even despite the 3 ball. His defense deficiencies have also been greatly exaggerated.

But Kawhi is a legit superstar and DeRozan has been given his chance.. Maybe it's best for both sides to move on if the deal does happen.

Or in the event of a surprise turn, and Toronto gets Kawhi AND keeps DeRozan and Lowry, it would be interesting to watch DeRozan play with a real SF for once in his career.

It's going to suck if lose Danny in this trade too... He's been a huge part of our team and culture for a long time. He's also our best perimeter defender (along with DJ) now that Kawhi's on his way out. And he's on a super friendly deal.I hope he's not involved in any deal we make.

Sac doesn't own their 1st rounder next year, so they have no incentive to tank. As a Celtics fan, I hope this doesn't happen, but it'd be great for the Spurs to pick up Giles + Bogs + OG + TOR 1st rounder.

Hornets might do it to pair up DDR with Kemba and fight for a 6th seed and keep their home grown star happy. They don't have as much cap space as the Kings though, and their assets (mainly Monk) play the same position as Walker/Murray.

If anyone is going to bring out DD's potential and turn him into a dangerous player, it's Pop. This was the best place for him to go if he had to go.

righf. And Sac didn’t even tank for a draft that is projected to be much better than 2019’s, so that wasn’t possible anyway IMO
