Second thought:

How will Lowry take this trade, he's always been temperamental player. Now that we have changed coaches and shown our disloyalty as a franchise, and traded away his best friend outside of basketball how will he show up. Could be a huge x factor.

I always felt Lowry is a competitor and driven by winning. He is also no newbie to the business aspect of the NBA. He'll understand.

Fourth Thought:

How much credibility did we lose as a franchise snaking Demar like that for a one year rental player. Are we going to go back into the dark ages once our 1-2 year window is closed, will everyone join the puckhead Leafs bandwagon? I wonder what this franchise will be like 3 seasons from now...

We traded Rudy Gay who he was also close with, I'm sure Lowry will be fine

Thank god we didn't trade OG or Siakam. I was big on Poetl but he is the lesser of the evils of the young prospects we had to trade. I wonder what our Lithuanian JV stans are doing right now - probably partying harder than France after the world cup. Casey gone replaced by Nurse who has been candid on involving JV more and more importantly tailoring our defense around his deficiencies when he is in the game. Not to mention trading away our C backup in Poetl with Bebe likely not being picked up again. Ibaka who could be our stretch 5 is likely to get even worse leading to even more JV minutes. Hero going to be on suicide watch.

Does Kawhi even play, will this the highest rated NBA TV press conference in NBA history. Kawhi will be like the ground hog coming out of hibernation with everyone holding their breath for his first words. Does he decide to give it 100% for max FA Laker value or fake injury like last season and people are ready to oust Masai out of office for one of the worst trades in Raptors history? So many question marks on Kawhi.

I honestly think he'll be perfectly ok with the all the moves so far. He's getting older and this is the most talented team we've surrounded him with. He wants to win

Lowry is getting paid more than 30 mil for the next 2 years in a very generous contract from Masai. Fans should be extremely disappointed if he doesn't give it his all because his bud was traded. Be a professional. Be a winner.

If we get to the finals and inevitably lose, while leading to the worst 3-5 year losing strength in franchise history in the aftermath will it be worth it. What are fan expectations with this trade, what if we go 7 games vs Boston and end up losing and Kawhi leaves 1st minute of free agency? What are people's expectations on this trade, what do they consider a success / failure. What does the front office more importantly, do we have contingency plans for when/if he bolts. More importantly, what kind of celebration will RealGM have if Kawhi signs back here - has anyone considered this?
