DD/Ben for Temple
I like it. DD was on his way out the door. He never really developed and lacks passion/drive.

I like it too. Deyonta is one more failed pick, but it was about time to move on, specially after his showing at SL. I hope we sign Lucas Bebe as our back-up center, as he can provide rim protection and is a decent passer and lob finisher.

Apparently we are sending our 2021 2nd which should be pretty high. I like the deal less now but oh well I guess.

Yep, the 2nd lowers the value, but still, if there's someone available in the second round that we like we can purchase a pick or two

What a professional trade by are deservedly so maligned front office. Timing is everything, so all you need to know about how the front office felt about DD was he not being on the flight back to Memphis after the Summer League loss last night. Redirected to Sacramento for the Seven foot Sour Puss with athletic energy of Shrek. Kick Rocks Kid!

Re: DD/Ben for Temple
I was expecting DD to be traded this summer as he hasn't lived up to mediocre expectations to this point. I think he will essentially fizzled out of the league and go overseas from there. BMac will be going thru his sixth coach in five years? I feel for the guy in that he wasn't able to be taught properly to build his foundation and confidence to improve his game. And for going back to the team that drafted him in the first place. I'm thinking a buyout will happen for him as they already have a logjam. The Grizzlies need a backup center. No offense to 3J, I don't see him playing that position right now being that he's still underweight right now.

Re: DD/Ben for Temple
First thing that came to mind was: "WHY?" I didnt like it. I kind of like every single player in a grizz uniform and it saddens me when they leave. Even if they just played a few games like Troy Williams or several seasons like zbo.
But when you think again, you got to be honest. Deyonta Davis could not help at all. Mclemore combined one decent game when many bad ones. Not to mention his injuries. I am more concern about the 2021 2nd pick, you can always dig a good roleplayer from the garbage.
We are getting Garret Temple. IS he any better than a James-Ennis kind of player? I guess he is having minutes of course. His best plays from 17-18 are blocks and dunks on fastbreak. That gave me an insight of what he can provide.
Is this trade making us better in 2k?
