Were you the DEMAR WILL BE HERE FOREVER guy or was it another dude??

Well he wanted a max contract, he can deal with it. Should have taken less money if he's sooooo 'loyal'. He's loyal to his $$$

Demar didn't take a max contract....he purposely left a few million on the table for us to work with.....

this place has the worst raptor "fans"

You need to get there first to get swept. This team isn't going anywhere. Laughingstock, oh no, I am 15 years old and take the sweep so personally that I can't enjoy a 59 win season... lets trade that for a 40 win season... what joke.

Dumb meets dumber.

Nobody admits to being wrong, but this is as close as it gets, I'll take it.

He makes perfect sense though, you don't.

Which free agents have signed here prior to this?

I'm pretty sure guys would rather play with Kawhi than they would with DeMar.

The Spurs got Aldridge, Pau Gasol, and Rudy Gay, we got.... Ibaka and CJ Miles?

Not saying these are a direct result of either guy, but I'm willing to bet if Kawhi re-signs here and is back to his prime self we'd get a lot more interested players due to the calibre of player he is. Kawhi is a bonafide top two-way player in the league, DeMar is mostly a glorified scorer.

Sdamn.. sounds like you've moved on.

I agree, he should be upset and he is, he loved us and we loved him.

It was just time to move on man.

It's more than just about money for Demar. He's a real one. Loyalty runs deep in his veins. I hope he tears **** up with Pop and his new team. I'm still rooting for you Deebo!
A lot of people who just want DeMar gone sadly and can't realize how much we're giving up for a 1 year trade.

Lillard just tweeted something about it as well. It would have been nice if they didn’t tell DeMar DeRozan he wasn’t going to get traded. If that’s even what happened.

This day was coming. If wasn't today, it would have been next year or the latest, the year after. The team isn't set up to be a contender for years so it wouldn't make sense to have an aging DD on a big deal playing on a rebuilding team.

I like DDs passion for Toronto. But it was probably time for both sides.

LOL

This Board is Bi-Polar

Do we really need to pull up all the threads Thrashing DD?

I like DD and rooted for him while he was here.

If somebody lied to him and said he wouldnt be traded, thats messed up.

But the front office felt the team maxed out.

Leonard could be going to boston buts he not

Good and fair trade.

DD is always welcomed here

Demar was amazing for this franchise and deserves gratitude and appreciation for how he helped pull this franchise out of the toilet and lift it to what it has become today. He did what Carter and Bosh could not. He provided sustained winning and most importantly ... he left behind a better team than when he was here. Bosh and Carter left the franchise a mess.

The tweet was a mistake by him for sure. He should have been more professional and understood why the raps made this deal and reminded himself they sent him the the Spurs not Sacramento. He will get to play for the greatest coach in the league for a franchise that will maximize his skills and remain a competitive club.

Good luck Demar!

so why would kawhi sign here long term and move his family here when looking at demar's situation ? Why you think a lot of these ex raptor saying what they're saying ? "They did my man wrong" you're fooling yourself if you think players don't pay attention to loyalty. That's part of why kobe is the king of LA! A lot of great players played for the lakers but loyalty is a big party of his legacy there.. He was a great player to everybody but the loyalty in their relationship plays a big part in his status there as why he still working for them. Don't get me wrong demar needed to so go! I've said countless times that both him and lowry needs to go. The issue is they should have never resigned him to that max deal, he should have been moved before that and there wouldn't be any talk of loyalty.

I love DD, great guy.

The Raps upgraded, and shaved a yr off their impending rebuild (unless Kawhi signs). Should they have told him he wasnt getting traded? maybe not, but im hard pressed to see any FA/player not coming here because of DDs treatment at the end. We have plenty of other hurdles to mask before that.

The last sentence should have been left out. Unless he thinks it's a forgone conclusion that Kawhi won't resign or even report.

Maybe we should of put a team around him instead of a 33 year old Lowry?

But yeah it's DD's fault.

Korver and JR are not All NBA All Stars...

If I was Demar, I would have some angers immediately but would soon get over it and be pretty excited to play for Pop and his staff.
A chance to actually make some noise in the playoffs and also be closer to home.
It's his first time switching teams, and it wasn't his decision, so it will all be a shock/anger this time around.
He'll get over it.
