Remember that time Demar took a discount to stay in Toronto due to loyalty?

Re: Don't talk to us about Loyalty
Loyalty is done in today's NBA. It died the day Lebron left for Miami and got overkilled when Durant left for GS. Players are leaving GM's in the dust and they expect GM's to have loyalty to them. Get out of here it's a business. Take it like a man.

Re: Don't talk to us about Loyalty
Ask yourself, if the Raps make the finals, would you not watch? Would you not cheer the team on?
Sucks that DD had to go but he's had enough chances to bring the goods. Hell he was about to be traded when Masai contemplated blowing this up before the team caught fire.
No hard feelings. Go get'em in San Antone DD.
Hope Kawhi and the rest of the Raptors will meet you in the finals (wishful thinking on my part LOL)

There is no satisfying them, **** those talking heads, they just want an excuse to **** on this organization regardless.

I never ever want to hear fans complaining about players leaving as disloyal

I'm going to stop replying to you.
Wait, who does PG play for? According to everyone in the entire world a couple months back, it's the Lakers.
What does PG have to do with Kawhi also LMFAO Kawhi is gone the second he can leave.
Are you Kawhi then, you know exactly what he's thinking?

The only bit that sucks is that DeMar was the first All-Star to ever truly commit 100%. Chose us over the Lakers to boot.
Lowry has only stayed due to $$. Every other star has left
On a positive - I am looking forward to watching DeMar continue to grow in SA. I think he will be happy there and Pop will know how to take his game to the next level.
Except DD being an all-star in the East always felt fake. He wouldn't have 'been handed' any of the all-star gifts if he was playing in the West.
Loyalty? That is what you try to sell after your GM outbids himself for your services over and over and over again. The team certainly wanted to sell that story to protect the GM every time.
Speaking of selling,.... I've been saying the team is going to be sold next season for a while now. This will help sell it.

Re: Don't talk to us about Loyalty
Didn't DD wanted out once he heard the rumour Lowry was about to be traded to the Knicks and I also wonder if DD would still be loyal if Lowry got traded to the Spurs instead? I think DD truly loves the city but its the salary and Lowry being on this team are what consolidates his loyalty more than his love the city/team itself.
Personally, I don't care what he feels/think. All I care is right now some results in the post season. I don't want to see another pattern of him being quiet on his first game in the series, showing up w/ a net negative on the next game, to finally not showing up at all for the rest of the playoffs. Its time to move on folks!

Re: Don't talk to us about Loyalty
Lol, I love how ESPN and the rest of the NBA laugh at us every year when we choke in the playoffs. Now that we change it up and go in a new direction, they're gonna tell us we're disloyal. F*** em. They just look for any excuse to hate us.

Re: Don't talk to us about Loyalty
Nobody would make a peep about loyalty if Demar was traded to the Lakers. They would be gushing about how the Raps traded him to his hometown to be closer to family while give him a shot at a title with Lebron.
The perception of loyalty is all relative. Trade him to the Kings and it would be even worse, even though Sac is close to LA. Spurs are viewed more negatively than Raps based on strength of the west, therefore sending Demar there is seen as disrespectful.
Bunch of crybaby commentators.

The media is responsible for this teams poor perception.
If I owned a resteraunt & my competition or people who wanted to see me do poorly kept telling people my food taste bad though it doesn't, who's going to want to eat by me?.
Yeah, I care.

Theres no room for loyalty in sports.
Teams need to do whats best for them and players need to do whats best for them.
Teams need to do whats best for them and players need to do whats best for them.
