Not going to lie, at first I was ecstatic that we acquired Kawhi Leonard, but as the day went by and the reality of DeRozan no longer being a Raptor really bums me out as a fan. Yes it’s for the better, but if you can void this deal, would you do it?

My thoughts are the same. It had to be done, the raps havent been able to get over the hump and now the team looks different and we have a chance to go to the finals.

But I need to stop watching these networks talk about this because all they focus on is the "loyalty" and franchise player BS. These clowns dont know how deep demars flaws are but you know this year they will see it.

Long term/mid term?. its a great trade, we get one of the top players in the league when healthy. Obviously he doesnt want to be here but that means we could trade him at the deadline and get nice pieces out of him. Hurts to lose derozan despite all the flaws.He was proud to be a raptor

Still paradoxically love and hate it. The arguments that it was the right move are compelling but so are those that insist the risk isn't worth it, though imo not quite to the same extent in the case of the latter. Also how honest of an attempt to compete is it, or is it just a very creative rebuild. And it very much hurts as a big DeRozan (and Poelte) fan.

But i don't fault anyone for being straight happy with the deal, nor the front office for making the move whatever their ultimate intention is.

I've probably watched every youtube highlIght reel of Kawhi's by now, but now that I'm done and have calmed down a bit, I've started to think of the lowkey things

1) I hope Lowry acts like a professional about this, sounds like Kawhi is cool with playing the year here which is great. We need Kyle to act like an actual leader and get over the DD thing by camp and try to get Kawhi out of his shell a bit like he did with DD. Sucks that his boy got done dirty by Masai but Lowry wanted to sign in SA to play with Kawhi so now he has his wish.

2) Feel bad that Yak and Pascal got split up.

3) Coach Bud and Casey must be in shambles right now

4) Nurse now has the roster to actually run a Moreyball type system offensively

5) Really hope MLSE doesn't force Masai to cut salary before the season, this roster is the best the Raps have ever had on paper
