SSJ4 isn't really a Toriyama thing though. I do however don't put it past Toriyama to make use of the tail/giant ape transformation.

I think we'll be seeing something new here.

I also don't think we'll be seeing Ultra Instinct Goku. After Jiren, its hard to fathom seeing Goku pushed to that kind of limit but Broly is a whole other monster so you just never know. I have a feeling we're probably going to be surprised by what happens regardless. Wouldn't shock me if we were left on a cliff hanger or Broly somehow survives. I'm pretty sure the ending will set the stage for Dragon Ball Super 2 series (or whatever they decide to call it). I just hope that this is the last story that takes place in between the time of Majin Buu's death and the end of Dragon Ball Z. I want to see what happens with Goku and Uub.

And I'm guessing the movie gets done and then redone for the show like they did with Beerus and Golden Frieza.

Additionally, I don't think it maters if it's a Toriyama thing, there's a specific reason that this Broly has been shown to have a tail and the movie is said to detail the early history of the Saiyans. Toriyama has already been shown to simply write out Saiyan tails in regards to the Universe 6 ones, so the idea that the tail is actually meaningful to the story isn't too much of a stretch.

This Broly is said to be from a different time than Goku, so here's the guess I'm giving: he is from the past and his version of Legendary Super Saiyan details him being covered in fur, ie, a version of Super Saiyan 4.

At this point, Krillin is stronger than Raditz was

Freeza is like the only villain to actually come back and increase his power. Nappa, Cell, The Ginyu Force, Dabura, etc would all get their heads smashed easily. The Androids are still pretty strong though.

Kid Buu though would probably still give everyone some work. He was damn near unstoppable, I think he'd definitely would give Jiren a run for his money. Uub is probably going to end up as the strongest Z fighter out of all of them.

I thought Toriyama designed the original Broly? maybe not.

I saw a picture from the DragonBall Heroes manga that shows Broly as a SS4. He looked pretty bad ass, if that's the direction Toriyama is going with him I'm with it.

I'd hate to lose all 3 TBH but I need to be real with myself. When is Frazier going to get his time here? til Gardner retires? Andujar is playing great for us and would hate to lose him so early... German, i see success coming in a year or 2(not that he isn't but i like the foundation being built).

had to post this teaser again ahead of the full trailer reveal at comic con this weekend because now that I understand what this movie is about, this teaser is really dope:

the first few seconds of this is awesome because just going by the fact that this movie is the next chapter of DB Super so we all know that Goku is coming off of his battle with Jiren in the Tournament of Power. he's in a whole other zone right now. there's a real sense of freedom and exhilaration in Goku's movements and the confidence is through the roof as he is about to engage frickin BROLY in battle.

everyone has been talking about Broly. but Goku went through hell and back vs. Jiren. i don't think this film will be anything like the original broly film from the early 90s

Driving home from a concert tonight, my girl falls asleep. She's supposed to be navigating. I'm like, alright, bet. We get a few blocks from home on the highway, I take the exit, "holy **** nooooo!!!", and Dad arm her while applying the brakes a hair too hard...

She does not find this funny and is now holding a grudge cause I was laughing hysterically and told her to her face, "I hope you're not waiting on an apology, cause that **** was funny."...
