I’m more concerned about his attitude and legal issues than I am his on the court play. Apparently TLC is not much of a player from what I’m seeing

I know I'm in the absolute minority, but I'm ecstatic. We just filled what was our biggest need in my eyes, and with a young player on a multi year contract. If ownership is willing to pay then I'm all for being as good as possible.

Also, I TOLD YOU WE HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEIR ULTIMATE GOAL WAS!!!!!!!!

I'm glad they're all in, and he is better than Felton. But he's still a negative asset and I don't like it.

Wasn't Schroeder one of the best up and coming PGs? Hawks got rid of Teague to make room for Schroeder at the starting PG spot.

Everyone thought it was a bad move then. Then they became the worst team in the NBA.

But was it because Schroder? They lost Horford, Millsap, Teague, Korver... Their whole core.

No, but he hasn't shown anything to be an up and coming PG. He looked like a lesser Reggie Jackson and is paid similarly.

He was definitely a problem, because he didn't fit what they'd built. I don't blame him for that, I do blame him for being a dbag to put it mildly. That said, I have no problems cheering for him to succeed on the court despite his past. I don't need to like him to like the production he provides.

I think jackson is probably what his ceiling will be, and if he accepts a sixth man role I think that's a good player to have.

OT but I kinda wish they could have done this for Reggie just to sit him behind Russ.

Reggie is exactly the production that I wished we had, but in another players body. And that's probably why I'm so happy about it. Crappy thing is that we really could've used a Reggie and lamb the last couple of years.

I've already decided that being in a winning environment will cure anything that's wrong with him.

Melo didn't have a personality issue, he had a game issue. I'm cool with schroder being who he is on the court, it's off the court he needs to change.

OKC general manager Sam Presti and coach Billy Donovan were given permission to speak with Schroder before the agreement, and the three of them discussed his role with Oklahoma City.

Assuming they were up front with him, maybe he’s cool with coming off the bench.

But I like Schroder and TLC as players, so there's that. Seems like getting Singler in to save a little by not stretching would've gotten it closer to acceptable, but not sure I care enough to see how that would've needed to work. Sam Presti hates late 1st round picks. Yay for filling out the roster with some talent.

it's a bad deal. sam presti is not only mortgaging the future in terms of the pick but also committing a lot of salary to next year and beyond that was not necessary.

schroder is not a very good player. blowing the tax out of the water the next two years for him was questionable. doing that as well as trading the 2022 first is insane. this is before we even take schroder as a person and teammate into account.

You are not saving 8M in salary only, you're saving 62M once you take luxury tax in, and ATL is increasing his payroll by 10M, that's why OKC were sending a pick.

Regarding Schröder, the team getting him, if they can show his play, will easily move him if needed. He was always consider a great salary/production ratio by the league, he value has mainly decrease because of the off court problem this year, and the fact he seems to not want to be part of this rebuild, while not being enough of a veteran to claim it.

But if something should be noticed, it's that your management were allowed by ATL to talk to Schröder before doing the deal, so not only know him by his game, but they have the possibility to judge him as a person before.
I still have doubt he's the best fit for you, but if they find playing for him, he should bring more than Felton, or will be easy to trade later. He was not so much immature when ATL was a winning team (at least in regular season...), so I hope for you it will be the same thing ;-)
