I like the addition of Holmes. Dudley wasn't going to provide anything. It also makes us have enough guys at 4/5 with Bender, Chriss, Ayton and Holmes. I think we are done there especially if Ariza and Bridges play spot mins at 4.

I can't see how they retain Daniels and Warren though as there just isn't enough minutes.

I think the roster is probably set for the start of season but think we need to waive Daniels and get serious backup minutes into Reed. Give him a chance to show it.

Warren is the surplus and I think we have too many guys so he won't get enough mins.

So you want to tank next year? Because if you want to win you play Warren and not Bender, Chriss or a guy other team gave you for free.

If I was Warren and I saw this forum I would demand a trade immediately

The problem is who wants Warren. Everyone knows he is a good player on a solid contract for 3 years but he doesn't really fit any teams needs. What team needs a solid scorer from mid-range who can't shoot a three and is willing to give us a first? I don't see us giving up Warren for anything less than a first but I can't think of a team that needs him.

Wow maybe we would get lucky and he would learn that he needs to develop a 3 pt shot, pass the ball and play defense.
Just say no to idiots!!

Not a problem because it seems that we do not want to trade Warren.

I think that Kokoskov is gonna love him because he is a player that plays the right way, you can trust him playing efficiently on every set.

He takes care of the ball and does not make turnovers. And he creates easy baskets with his ability in fastbreaks and transition.

Defensively he is not a lockdown defender, but he makes his job.
You can put him on any perimeter player, he is not a liablity by any means.

Well a team who has a non-shooting SF at all ranges (mid-range, 3-point, and free throw) might want Warren. I can think of a team who has exactly that problem.

Add developing a 2 point shot and a free throw shot and you've just included JJ in the conversation too.

Warren makes roughly 3 out of 10 3pt attempts. He did this on a team with virtually no point guard, no system, and essentially playing in meaningless games.
If he makes 1 more shot out of those 7 he misses, then instantly that stat-frat deems him a stud.

We trade him, we’d better get legit needful talent back, as that, imo, has been the downfall of this franchise. McDiscard has dealt away a starting team for promissory notes.

At this point, I’d bet on gym rat TJ to improve

If we’re gonna be upset about Bender/Chriss not having to earn minutes then we should expect the same of Jackson earning a starting spot. He has shown potential but Warren is still the better player. Jackson’s energy can be a nice change of pace of the bench anyway.

I hope Jackson is working on adding strength in the summer too. That and his jumper should be his two priorities in basketball this summer imo.

Woj just reported the Clippers signed Harrel for 2/12. That puts 18 on their roster. 17 guaranteed players. We all have said it but seems like Beverly or Teodosic is there for a trade. Granted they waive Beverly and might have more options. Suns can only offer 4.4 for either

Not impressed by the gains of Myles of Ingram.

Myles photo is the difference of someone post workout (sweaty and hungry) vs. someone before a workout (with no pump).

Ingram was a paperclip. Now he's a toothpick.

It sure seems like one of the things we are doing is getting rid of anyone who was here for the losing cycle that didn't have potential. McDonough didn't want our young guys looking down he bench and seeing too many faces here that remind everyone of the past two seasons.

Gone
Ulis
Len
Sauce
Dudley
Payton

Kept
Booker
TJ
Chriss
Bender
Tyson
Knight

Added
Ayton
Bridges

I don’t think their worried about roster space cause by all accounts they’ll move on from guys like Juwan Evans, CJ Williams, Wesley Johnson etc for roster space as needed.

Haha, that's exactly what I was thinking. Pre and post workout photos. There are no gains to be seen.

That still leaves them with 5 point guards

No they have 3 point guards (same as Suns with Knight, Harrison, Okobo)

This is how their backcourt looks as of now (not in order).
