113.5 ORTG-106.8 DRTG L
77.6 ORTG-117.3 DRTG L
Positive net rating in 2 of 3 games in which he played huge minutes vs the Warriors and this is a Melo who wasn't used properly at all last year outside of the first 6 games of the season when he was mostly paired with Felton. This notion that "who's he gonna guard" is ridiculous.
Ariza for comparison
Regular Season
107.3 ORTG-121.4 DRTG W
104.9 ORTG-116.5 DRTG L
Playoffs
G1- 97.7 ORTG-119.3 DRTG L
G2- 126.9 ORTG-100.2 DRTG W
G3- 95.3 ORTG-130.7 DRTG L
G4- 103.8 ORTG-107.5 DRTG W
G5- 96.8 ORTG-96.2 DRTG W
G6- 92.0 ORTG-115.6 DRTG L
G7- 87.1 ORTG-108.5 DRTG L
Everyone loves ORTG and DRTG until BOOM...this happens.

Houston team is stronger today than yesterday for sure, but Capela case is more important for their 2018-19 season.

He was actually decent when healthy. Its just his contract the gets ppl pissed

Melo will be BBQ chicken for the Dubs every time he steps on the court. Utah feasted on him, and while they have some elite talent ala Mitchell, the Dubs are on another level.

False Melo wasn't cooked at all when playing GSW, check the stats above to disprove this theory you have.

Individual DRTG for 3 games is not at all meaningful. In fact DRTG in general is a bad stat. not even the W-L record is meaningful unelss you actually think that OkC twma would go 2-2 vs the Dubs in the post-seaatat.Not

remember Kings void his contract because his right shoulder failed the physical
Sent from my SM-G920T using RealGM mobile app
not after he dislocated his shoulder twice after a dunk in a season

He wasn't that in D'Antonis offense in NY. What are you talking about?
Also, D'antonis offense is completely different then it was in NY. Now he plays ISO ball and exploits mismatches. That's Melos game right there! OKC wants Russ to get the rebound and push, Melo is more of a half court player. Paul and Harden are also much better passers then Westbrook and George. They look to get guys opportunities way more then Westbrook who only really wants to pass if hes getting an assist.
Specifically in NY under DAntoni the friction was Melo refusing to sit in the corner. That was an issue.
In Houston, Harden or Paul has the ball for every possession. They are the mismatches. Melo isnt.
Spot up Melo is the solution. And that wouldve been the solution in OKC. But he wasnt. He is no longer good enough to iso for numerous possessions in a game. But the problem is that he thinks he is.
last off-season people predicted Harden/CP3 will not work but Westbrook/PG13/Melo will
because both Harden/CP3 need the ball and there is only one ball (like PG13/Melo don't need the ball)
so now the argument come up again?
Rockets met with Melo before the trade
they must see something Melo can help them
let them figure it out

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

How does it not matter now? It shows GS didn't "bbq chicken" Melo when he was on the court AND OKC was fine offensively with Melo on the court. If having a positive net rating isn't a good thing for Melo vs GS then I don't wanna hear anything about anymore advanced stats regarding players because if Melo had a 120 DRTG and 90 ORTG you'd all bash him.
