I'm leery of dealing for any high cost guys. If they want to move one of their surplus of OF for a middle infielder thats fine but dealing any good prospects seems foolish while in this free fall.

If they are going back to discussions with the Orioles, you have to think Stearns is somewhat okay with the guys they are interested, if they were only wanting Keston and Burnes, unlikely he'd be going back to them.

I trust Stearns, just do not trade Keston and don't invest much of anything in a rental.

I agree keston and burnes should be and probably are off the table. I was never super high on Ray but with his performance this year I wouldn't move him either.

Keston and Burnes probably on the table for top of the line starters like Degrom and Synegaard who also have some years of control?? Not saying we should, just trying to understand their value and where we value them.

I'd feel better about any potential trades if I knew Stearns was going to be back next year. Any possibility Mark A. has a hold on moves because Stearns might be up in the air for staying with the organization?

I'd be wary of trading with the Mets for that reason. He's from NY and they're about to have a position for him.

Heard about Suter earlier this afternoon. That sucks.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Why not start Burnes?

Something seems odd. It's not like Attanasio to have a lame duck GM. If I were him and he knew Stearns was going to bolt I would replace him immediately and walk him out the door. If an extension has been signed you'd think we'd hear about it already. Very odd.

Ugh, that sucks about Suter. Just as disappointed to lose him as a dude in the clubhouse as I am to lose him as a pitcher - maybe even more so. Wonder if he'll stick around the club anyway.

I can't envision Shaw playing second base, he seems too slow and not nimble enough on his feet.

Any chance Hiura is brought up? Is his defense/arm that poor? I mean we'd rather consider Shaw at 2B than Hiura?

It seems like he is also bouncing around between AA and A+ right now. I don't know our minors that well..any reason for that?

I think Heyman was searching for clicks on that one. I perked up for a second when he said Escobar was pulled but then Dozier also was. Score was 8-1 in the 8th. It would be pretty unlikely that both of those guys would be traded at the same time so it just seemed like a score-related move.
