All I gotta say is CHECK OUT THE LINK IN MY SIGNATURE -- My brother and I discuss the achievement and what it means to Bonds and, especially, to all the MUTHA BLEEPIN' MEDIA HATERS who tried SO DAMN HARD to bring Barry down before he got the record, and who fell flat on their faces. Yes!!!!!!

now thats funny!

anyways i didnt get to see it live, i dont give a **** anymore. i heard he broke it when driving home from a concert. the media has driven steroids into the ground and its become so damn annoying.

id say the real tragedy was that a god damn mets fan got it. what douche wears a jersey of a team thats not even playing in the game. it was funny when he was being taken away though.

30 next year in NL league, Giants??=800
2 yrs. in AL as DH 35 each.............=870
At this time he would be 45 going on 46 yrs old. Nobody, very few, works harder in the gym and with his diet to stay in shape, 870 is a realistic #

The guy hasn't hit more than 4 in a month since April. He's not hitting 15 in August and September.

He has hit 3 in the last 4 games. He has no pressure on him now. He claims to have his mechanics and swing back, and that's what the Fox Sports Stats sheet projects with what he has now, to have by the end of the season.

You could be right though...I was just looking into some numbers.

It also would not surprise me that if he were to DH full time on a team that had other good players to protect him in the order, he could hit 50+. If the home park were small like the Yankees or Rangers maybe more. The dude can still rip. He gets hot, they walk him. They walk him. They walk him... Tough to rack up a bunch when every time you hit a dinger, they walk you for the rest of the series.

Backer,
Ok, maybe he never admitted to it. But look at the facts that are in front of you. Are you seriously trying to defend him that he never used steroids? Look I don't care if he did or not, he's still the greatest player we'll ever see. But you can't be completely ignorant to everything and spin it all around....you just can't.

EDIT: What were the substances that Barry admitted to using if they weren't the cream and the clear?

Edit: A list of players involved in the Balco case....MLB players: Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi, Gary Sheffield, Benito Santiago, Jeremy Giambi, Bobby Estalella, Armando Rios

They were all SF Giants/Oakland A's. It shows you need more than steroids to be successful

Steroids don't just help you hit home runs buddy.
"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."

People make up stories about Bonds all the time. They gather some info and compress it into a judgement. I do it to, not a big deal. I hope you can see the difference between the two above statements. Thank You Celtic, your a big man, for helping me prove my point.

Much of what we think we know and what we have heard about Bonds is incorrect, inaccurate, and heresay. People have used these "tainted facts" info to judge him in the "court of public opinion". That is just what the media wanted...what they set out to do, and, what they are still fueling by trying to find and report dirt at any and all cost. Still, there's more to it, it's not that simple.

Do i think he used? It is possible. It is also very possible that it was nothing more than what he told the Grand Jury. Bonds has a history of telling it like it is. Because i'm a big fan, i want to believe he is telling the truth. I also will defend him from untruthful statements from people like "He admitted to taking steroids"

But see, this is where you're wrong.....

"It is possible he used"

"It is very possible that it was nothing more than he told the grand jury"

Just be realistic like I am....It is more likely that he used steroids than not. Sheffield is the same way...he admitted to using the cream and the clear, said given to him by Bonds, but that he didn't use steroids....Sheff's exact words were, "steroids is stuff you stick in your butt." Maybe Bonds views it the same way, he wasn't sticking stuff in him with a needle, so he feels he never used steroids. Either way it doesn't matter, he's one of the top 5 players ever. Period.

Actually, i agree with what your saying here. Bonds wasn't doing any needles, wasn't doing the kind of things Canseco and the others did, only ointments and stuff given to him from his long time friend and Highly paid trainer who he trusted.

Further more, could very well be; The crap hit the fan when Bonds found out that Anderson was slipping him banned, though undetectable, substances in these ointments. Greg was his supposedly "friend" and Bonds had strick instructions, i want the best, newest, high tech stuff available, but "Nothing illeagle." Now, Greg will never tell the Grand Jury that he gave Bonds anything. Why?, because he slipped them to Bonds without Bonds knowledge. Barry didn't turn him in or turn his back on him even though he had been betrayed. Greg knew the implacations and felt awful for betraying Bonds trust and what he had possibley done to his friend...clams up, refuses to testify against his friend! and so it goes...does the time.

Everyone asks, "why would Greg Anderson willingly do this time in jail?"

Answer; Because he felt guilty of "screwing over" his life long friend.
