Everyone who is hating on demar, are being more of drama queen then he is. Look he felt he was lied to, or very least mis-lead. For a guy who showed loyalty like no other Raptor before him, who could have easily left for similar or slightly less money, and didn't...we had lesser star/allstars leave (Bosh, T-mac, etc. even though we offered the most amount of money). Dude dreamt of being with the Raptors his whole career, and I'm sure at some point Masai and Co played that up, you could be like Kobe and spend you whole career with one team. And as player who has loyalty tattoo'd on your body, playing for one team, and dreaming you could lead the team to the finals and maybe championship especially with LBJ out of your division...well we as Raps fans owe it to him, let him be mad.

Hopefully this doesn't effect Kawhi relationship with Masai in resigning. Maybe it will come full circle who knows. One thing we know whether masai flat out lied, mislead, or wasn't being 100% honest, or miscommunication, is that Masai is cutthroat, and will do anything it takes to improve the team, and I feel thats the best thing we learned here. Lesser GM's might have appeased Demar, and given him a super-max deal in 2 years time, just to keep status quo.

I don't think he's handling it childishly tbh, dude dreamt about spending his entire career here he's understandably hurt. Childish is saying toronto smells different

Hopefully this doesn't effect Kawhi relationship with Lenard in resigning. Maybe it will come full circle who knows. Eh Idk about that, we're not the ones on TV talking about being done dirty with Chris "Raptor hater" Haynes

I watched it. It was only a snippet. They're gonna air the full interview at 1AM ET.

Basically DeMar said he just wanted to know if he was in trade talks and Masai didn't let him know. He says he knows anyone can be traded and that wasn't his beef, just wanted to know he was in talks so he could prepare. Felt he deserved a heads up after 9 years.

It honestly didn't look bad at all to me, the way he was talking. Media blowing **** out of proportion as usual.

So what Masai said was right. Not surprised DD misinterpreted what Masai said, he never seemed like the sharpest tool.

Demar is facing the fact a real judgement has been made on his NBA career and his ceiling. It's not surprising he's upset. It's a good, competitive trait, really.

DeMar was drafted and given everything, green has been in and out of the league and stuck around all NBA defense team

Green hasn't really been in and out..yeah he was with Cavs D-League prior to the 8 years he was the Spurs (starter for 7 straight years). I don' tknow..maybe Masai just thought DeMar wasn't that stupid bc rumours were swirling like crazy in the days leading up to the trade. It was very obvious that "something was up". Argh.. get over it.

Masai should have called DD and told him something as soon as trade discussions started to heat up but MU probably didn't want to tell dd anything until it was serious and near finished just incase. Supposedly the spurs/raps discussions fell apart multiple times

He even said he wasn't gonna demand to not get traded or anything. It was literally about a heads up.

I was never a fan of Demar, but as a human being, I can understand his frustration with the trade.. don't understand the hate. have some empathy.

You're right. THIS isn't bad at all. The problem that you seem to be missing is that this is a very different comment/complaint than the one be made on IG, which sent the NBA world into an anti-Toronto hate fest.

You think the snake or done-dirty or no loyalty tweets from other players, media and fans would have happened if THIS is what he said the first time? No.

Not sure what makes it competitive. Sounds selfish. The guy accomplished alot, underachieved in my opinion but achieved alot none the less. A mature man would appreciate that and not throw shade to a trade that made Toronto better.

Its the Toronto Raptors not the Derozan Raptors.

As a basketball players, he about on par with my expectations. As a man, he's disappointed me so far this offseason.
