I know you guys just want my guy to mentor, but being a lifelong Vince Carter fan, and knowing him and why he signed in Atlanta, I expect and would want for Vince to get solid rotation minutes.

Young teams need veteran leadership and that's exactly what Carter provides. I like the move.

I've been a huge Vince fan since he was in high school. I really wanted to get him when the Hawks had Millsap and Korver in that Budz system.

I don't know and don't care what minutes he will get, i'm just excited to see him in that Hawks uniform just once.

Vinsanity and Linsanity together at last, this is insanity! Not really, but I'm definitely curious to find out how much is left in Carter's tank. The guy wants to play, can't knock him for that. I gotta assume Atlanta's FO guaranteed him some playing time initially, otherwise he should be ring or $ chasing.

Great move for Atlanta. Really love this for Trae. What a guy to have around every day your rookie year!

From what I have heard, he is a great locker room guy. He is basically a coach to young players and this should help our young guys out.

Everybody have mad respect for Vince. He loves the game of basketball and will play until his legs fall off, and you have to really respect that HE IS NOT A RING CHASER!

This signing makes me very happy.
Perfect position for Vince Carter to excel at and he gets closer to home.

Our young players will benefit greatly. But, I hope we trade him at the deadline to Golden State, so he can win a ring.

Nice, very good mentor, well done.

Man, 20 yrs vet, gonna be 42 yrs old during the season, is he gonna be challenging Kevin Willis?

If i was HC, i would seriously consider starting Vince, and put him in a Royal Ivey type of situation. Start Vince, but only give him 15mpg.

Basically I would put all of Vince's minutes with Trae. I think it would help Trae seeing Vince start with him, Vince as a vet could calm Trae down at the start of the game and help Trae set a tone and flow better.

Think that’s impressive? Vince was DRAFTED two months before Trae was BORN.

Three months.

:P lol. It is Insane.

And they used to say, early in his career, that Vince would probably decline and be out of the league the fastest due to the way he plays... well.

Vince always had a good 3 point shot which helped him out too. His attitude has helped dramatically and that has separated himself from someone like Osh Smith. Both were crazy athletic and could jump through the roof, but Osh has/had major attitude issues.
