Has he reclassified officially or is that still in limbo?

Says Class of ‘19 http://www.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/218158/cole-anthony

Yeah that refers to HS class of 2019. Here's the class of 2019 rankings:

No reason why he won't reclassify. I'm operating under the assumption that he'll be apart of the '19 draft class.

That's the rumblings I have heard. Cole would be my easy choice at #1.

You're definitely tanking, Jerry West is just smart enough to hide that fact.

Naw. All they had to do is let guys like Bradley+Milos go etc. Now they are gonna win 35+ games easily. Lucky if it's a top 10 pick now.

Same with my Cavs if it makes you feel any better. We just screwed ourselves by re-signing Love instead of trading him for the best pick they could get.

Good on RJ. I like the kid and think he'll be a stud. Hopefully some of his tenacity rubs off on Cam and some of his skill rubs off on Zion.

Would be nice if those duke boys & Cole Anthony got enough hype for Little or Sekou to fall to the knicks

You guys have a 35 win ceiling imho. I don't see what's to like much as a group. A lot of real deal NBA players, big minute rotation players, some starters, but everyone is going to be overextended and looking to prove themselves for their next contract, a lot of overrated guys who are good, but not as good as they're purported, a lot of guys who are injury prone, I can easily see a 24 win disaster.

Huh? Far superior depth than last year. Also unlikely to lose Milos, Gallinari, Beverley most of the year again. They are more likely a 45 win team if remotely healthy. Trust me, I'm not happy. I think they are dumb to try to be an 8-10 seed. Should of tanked.

Barrett, 18, will begin his highly anticipated college career with Duke this fall but has already upped his competition level significantly with the hope of hitting the NBA ground running. He played for Canada in its FIBA 2019 World Cup qualifiers alongside Cory Joseph, Kelly Olynyk and Dillon Brooks and showed he belonged there.

Drew Hanlen said he was taking NBA guys already. Where do you rank Barrett in terms of prospects 20y and under?

Right now I have him in the top five. But he could easily move up or down. It's early. I hope he commits on the defensive side of the ball because if not, DeRozan will be about his ceiling. He has the Kobe mentality without the shot, defense and elite athleticism.

I'm 99% sure he isn't reclassifying. Just yesterday he said he still wasn't sure where he'd be playing his senior season(though it seems like IMG) and he wasn't worrying about college as it was still a year away. He hasn't even looked at any schools yet, nor has he aquired the proper credits I believe. When Bassey reclassified months ago he already had everything decided months in advanced and had taken extra classes beforehand, the kid had a 3.9 GPA.

He's going to pull an Anfernee Simons. He doesn't have to go to college.

This seems like a little exaggerated, Kobe mentality? Don't see the similarities. His defense isn't that bad, gets caught sleeping at times but compared to DD he's got much better instincts. It's also not like he's a poor shooter either, his shot doesn't have much ark but it's not like it's broken or he's inefficient. To say his ceiling is DD doesn't make much sense. DD needed to work on his midrange game as a freshman and shot 17% from three. Barrett is also a much better passer, rebounder, and has much better handles at this stage.

Simons was a rare case, he had already reclassified and graduated at this time in 2017, then instead of going to college he spent a prep season at IMG. So it wasn't like he went strait from graduating into the NBA. I don't think Anthony has the credits to graduate, I mean I could be wrong but then again most that have reclassified usually have it figured out by know. Bagley did it really late last summer but had started visiting colleges around this time. Hagans and Bassley reclassified in June and graduated. It just seems like if he had his core curriculum already set we would have heard rumblings by now.

He's the top high school player in the country and isn't looking at colleges late in the summer before his senior year. He'd easily be the top point guard in the 2019 draft and his hometown Knicks figure to have a high pick this year, which they're less likely to in 2020 with Porzingis back. It's not Mensa level stuff to take some online classes for a high school diploma, and he would just need to be done before the NBA season starts to be eligible for the draft.

I can't believe I'm saying this but the best thing for two freshmen is another freshman.

RJ is magnetic, he's exactly what Cam and Zion need. The term alpha is used pretty ironically in 2018 but by pure definition the kid is an alpha. He commands the room, he's gracious, he's confident, he's respectful. He's everything you want in a young professional, the kid is going to be great at whatever he ends up doing, even after basketball.

Cole Anthony already decides to play for Oak Hill for his senior year. He won't graduate in high school now and not qualify for 2019 class since high school students needs to graduate at least one year before enter the draft.

I dont think that is an issue for Zion, Zion is a workhorse. The thing I do question is will the big time personalities of RJ and Zion magnify the quietness and motor issues of Cam. Will Cam see RJ and Zion take the mantel as the #1 and #2 guys and will that make Cam just be fine with a smaller role. My hope is K pushes Cam to take the most shots on the team. He's the best player on the team when he is pushing for it, Im afraid if he isnt pushed, he will just take a step back. Which would be horrible for him.
