Re: Hornets @ 30
Pretty cool. I'm usually not one to enter contests but I went ahead and voted on a top 10 for old time's sake. It was surprisingly tough to narrow it down. A bunch of guys were easily in the top 10 conversation in terms of talent I had to show love to long-time players like Curry/Bogues/Crash even if they weren't exactly the best.
It will be interesting to see what other fans value. It would not surprise me if Eddie Jones, Jamal Mashburn and/or Divac don't make the team simply because they've been mostly forgotten or weren't here long. To me they should all get strong consideration, much more than Big Al for example who I expect is 99% lock. I know in some of our historic 2K teams we get saddled with Coleman and Kendall Gill rather than Divac and Mash and it's unfortunate because a 'real' all-time best Hornets squad would actually be very talented and deep even if we've never had a player who was MVP caliber.

Re: Hornets @ 30
Based on career in Charlotte, Crash was a top 3 player. Don't @ me. Only Kemba definitively better.
But I'm a little confused on what we're voting for here. Top players who ever wore a Hornets uniform? Top players WHILE they were a Hornet? Top players who played as a pro for the Charlotte franchise, but not the New Orleans Hornets franchise? It says you're voting on the Top 10 players in Hornets history, but they have Crash and Felton and Emeka on there. Like Kobe was a Hornet for like 10 seconds, but he's not there.
I guess it's open to interpretation. If it's greatness as a Hornet/Bobcat, I guess I'd go with: Kemba, Crash, LJ, Zo, Rice, Mashburn, Mase, Baron, Eddie Jones, Mek.
If it's best player who once was a Hornet: Kobe, Parish, Rice, Kemba, Zo, LJ, Baron, Divac, Dwight, Mason.

Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

It is open to interpretation. My opinion is that top 10 is just the top 10 guys you remember the most from their playing days. Like, Kobe isn't really a Hornet to me because he didn't get on the court and play. The guys that played more years and gave to the team are more memorable and get ranked higher for me. I also had to include Bobby just because he'll always be a big part of Hornets history to me.
kemba
bogues
baron
curry
rice
wallace
lj
zo
mason
bobby
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

Everyone but Curry and Bogues were who I thought were our best players in terms of talent/impact. Curry and Bogues rounded out the team because of what mean to the community and how they helped establish NBA basketball in Charlotte. Mashburn and Divac were hardest to leave off.

Re: Hornets @ 30
is it outrageous that I wouldn't put Curry in my top 10?
if I'm making a team to compete, I think there are better players

Not at all. If we're talking strictly talent Curry and Bogues don't necessarily make the team. I'd put together a best of the best team something like:
Kemba/Baron
Jones/Captain Jack
Rice/Mashburn
LJ/Mason
Zo/Divac
11-12th men: Crash, PJ Brown

That’s pretty much my team with crash instead of Jax.

Re: Hornets @ 30
Kemba / Baron "Beagle" Davis
Glen Rice / Eddie Jones
Gerald Wallace / Jamal Mashburn
Larry Johnson / Anthony Mason
Alonzo Mourning / Vlade Divac
That's the best 10 man lineup the Hornets can produce. Change my mind.

I think my top 10 was the exact same as Nic's except with Jackson over Mason. Thought about Mashburn and Jones too
investigate Adam Silver

Re: Hornets @ 30
I posted on their facebook the best balanced lineup
PG: Kemba Walker
SG: Baron Davis
SF: Glen Rice
PF: Larry Johnson
C: Alonzo Mourning
2nd unit:
PG: Muggsy Bogues
SG: Dell Curry
SF: Gerald Wallace
PF: Anthony Mason
C: Emeka Okafor
11/12: Jamal Mashburn, Derrick Coleman (although thinking about it now I would sub either Gill or Stephen Jackson for Coleman for defense/shooting)

Stealing from the GB. Do you think our all-time team would beat the Warriors?

No. Our all time is actually pathetic to be honest.

I went
Curry
Baron Davis
Al Jefferson
Eddie Jones
LJ
Mason
Mourning
Rice
Walker
Wallace
to me Rice and Mason are fairly safely on there because b2b 50+ win seasons, something Hornets fans have otherwise not seen. Also they both logged 40+ mins both seasons which is insane.

Mine except Bogues for Jefferson, he was pretty impactful at getting us into the playoffs and the most fun season post reboot
