Canseco: I Have Stuff On A-Rod
29th July, 2007 - 8:40 am
New York Daily News - The last time Jose Canseco put pen to paper, all of baseball quaked.

He promises to do it again - and this time he says he'll have something to say about Alex Rodriguez. Canseco, who wrote "Juiced," his 2005 book detailing his use of steroids with Mark McGwire, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Pudge Rodriguez and others, says he has another book in the works, due this fall.

He told Boston's WEEI Radio on Friday that he had "other stuff" on A-Rod that will be coming out. When asked directly if Rodriguez had used steroids, Canseco replied: "Wait and see."

Rodriguez cut off a question about Canseco's comments yesterday after being asked in Baltimore if he had heard the former slugger's words, saying, "Nope, I haven't. And I have no comment.

He has "stuff" on ARod. That be meaningful, it can mean nothing. Considering how quickly everyone likes to jump on ARod over the years, I would think somebody on this planet would have mentioned his name somewhere along the lines in the past 6-7 years, yet I haven't even heard SPECULATION about ARod. He hit 36 home runs as a 20 year old, so I'm not exactly sure what "stuff" Canseco is talking about. It really doesn't sound like steroids, so I'm not sure what it can be. Either way I'm just going to wait and see, I highly highly doubt ARod is a steroid user.

I don't think its steroids either, but I'm just saying. Jose may not even really write that book, but its going to start going around. I just hope its nothing bad. I doubt steroid use though.

He's just saying that to sell his next book. I highly doubt A-Rod is that stupid to use roids.

This is what Canseco said about Alex in his first book:

"As a player, he has no entertainment value; he fades into the background, and he bats second in the lineup. But he has mathematical value, and for that they pay him ridiculous money."

"The perception of Alex is that he's the clean boy - that he doesn't do anything wrong. He's always careful and does everything right. I know some reporters don't like him because he's such a boring interview, the one guy who gives a politically correct answer. So why do they keep coming back? Because they're waiting for him to make a mistake and slip up. And some day he could: He's not the saint he's perceived to be. Eventually, the media will find something nasty to write about Alex Rodriguez, because trust me, they're looking for it."

He said that about Alex? Because the media hasn't written anything nasty about Alex yet? This must be a comment about Derek Jeter - boring!

That was said about Arod. It was written when he was hitting second in Seattle I believe.

Had ARod used anything as controversial as steroids, his name would have already been implicated by the dozens of witch hunters out there. Unless Canseco was supplying him directly with the stuff, I doubt he has any credible inside information or else it would have probably come to light during the first wave of investigative hysteria.

If anything the only dirt he has is that ARod

I agree with BBJ here. ARod is a guy that gets ridiculed if he doesn't wipe his ***, a ton of people would love to have the opportunity to throw him under the bus but haven't yet. That tells me all I need to know, he is clean in my book.

I'd believe it if there was some actual evidence, ala Game of Shadows, but as usual it's probably Canseco speculating, pulling stuff out of his ass and trying to make a quick buck.

Anyone who doesn't wipe his ass deserves all the ridicule he gets.
