Without some power in the hands of an opposition party, there will be no actual response.

Remember when the righties on this board were proud to bang the drum of Romney was right about Russia being our #1 political foe. How stupid Obama was. Ah good times.

Yeah, this has always been the play. Collusion isn’t a crime and Russia is good. Getting along with Russia is a GOOD thing - not a BAD thing etc
Like I said a few weeks ago - the alt-right ethnonationalist types have always been totally on board with Putin and his style of authoritarianism

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Well, no. Since no exchange of information took place. Perhaps the Russian govt had interest in discussing the Maginsky Act with the Trump campaign. And that doesn't bother me.
But we know it wasn't the Maginsky Act that was on the agenda.

Good morning
Emin just called and asked me to contact you with something very interesting.
The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.
This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump - helped along by Aras and Emin.
What do you think is the best way to handle this information and would you be able to speak to Emin about it directly?
I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first.
Best

I've been waiting for a response......
In light of recent events I think this deserves one.
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Fake news is like MVP. Once the chant get rolling, you gotta believe
the one thing i got our of dental school and my masters in material science. That even the scientific method can be manipulated.
This is a really really really difficult concept for even the most articulate and and sharpest of minds. but....wait for it.... all news is biased. most of it deeply biased...and most of it purposefully biased.
You have to know that and trust that baked in bias and thats why it is so important to to listen to all sides. read and watch all sides and sources. A sharp mind can easily distinguish the bias. It will become predictable. All of it. When you can predict CNN, BBC, Fox, Reuters, wapo, NYT responses to all the "issues of the day"...and TRULY and FULLY understand their position, why they have taken that position, and how they are using their version of the facts to outline their version of the narrative...only then do you understand all sides.
And at some point...we all need to come to an appreciation and understanding that in a democracy, the majority of people's opinion ultimatly rule. Thats why the "news" agencies push their agenda so aggressively and stay at it when they think something sticks or should stick.
^^^what we "the people" need is get out from under the "mental masturbation" as barely described it, is to unite. It is only when we are united that we can make government and news work for us.
Take for example:
medicine...we can probabaly get everyone covered right now if we give up pre existing conditions.
Immigration: we can probably get comprehensive immigration reform where we allow an acceptable (to the left) amount of people in each year through our souther border and citizenship for daca if we can give the right real border security for illegals and voters ID in every state.
there is a deal to be made on all of these. issues if we the people unite. That's the only reason i post. I'm teaching the left what they are up against. The right is wiser and more experienced and more nuanced that the left can fathom.
But the real purpose im here is tax reform. We must go after the wealthy ruling class' money. Trusts, Foundations, Non profits. Thats where all the wealth is at. 92% of it. We must unite in order to go after it. I have purposefully told you uys about my life...growing up a very poor kid with crack heads for parents. I was not joking. My parents also did "ok" for themselves and over spent so I also experienced a bit of priveledge growing up almost simultaneous to being broke. Thats what crack heads do...sometimes. I also have purposefully divulged my some of wealth accumulation. not to show off. But to speak from experience. True...I'm a doctor, but 95% (or more)of my wealth is due investing in real estate early. And if you do it right, your tax burden will be minimal. The game is rigged for those that know the rules of the game. Even when they change the rules, the players know ahead of time and adjust accordingly. For example all tax laws take affect the following tax year and the elite wealthy ruling class' lawyers write the tax laws. You think congress writes those?? Those guys know whats up ahead of time. If taxes become too burdensome in the US they will move their money oversees.
We must repatriate wealth. We must tax it. <---The only way we can do that is my uniting as a people. black white, brown poor, working poor, middle class...we all have a common "enemy." We should all have a common goal.
No politician or party can do it all at once. they'll shoot him where he stands. or his plane will crash...etc. real talk. if we the people unite and make our politicians really go after the real money and redistribute it...there will be resistance. the kind that lurks in shadows and makes people disappear.
like i said, its a full rebuild.

i'm just trying to help unite the board, man! if I can change, then you can change, we all can change! Unite for all man kind and come to the negotiating table!
Who wants to negotiate in good faith?...let try to put a deal together that works for the american people. any issue...immigration, tax reform, anything...maybe we can get barely his pre existing conditions in a good health care bill...come to the middle, give me your reasonable parameters in good faith and i'll do the same...what else we going to do? sling mud and bicker?
like i said, its a full rebuild.

The social media platform said in a statement Monday that it had "unpublished" the Alex Jones Channel Page, the Alex Jones Page, the InfoWars Page and the Infowars Nightly News Page.
Facebook (FB) removed four videos from the pages last week after determining that they violated its hate speech and bullying policies. It also suspended the personal profile of Jones.

His answer there reminded me of the Geico commercials - one that the guy is being tried for something that he's clearly guilty of and he's asked for an explanation. He responds with something along the lines of "sign up with Geico and save 15%" and the judge says "not guilty!".
Here's another - likely inspired by Trumpites. Difference is - Geico's commercials are intended to be funny.

Interesting that the current healthcare system + student loans are front and center on this issue. The article is a bit anecdotal - but still makes good points.
Another anecdotal reference to Pancakes' - one of my old, very successful business partners was basically wiped out supporting 3 family members with cancer concurrently.

That even the scientific method can be manipulated.
Ah, no. Once you start manipulating, then it ceases to actually be the 'scientific method'
and devolves into propaganda.
A lot of what we call 'thought' is just mental activity
When you are accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression
Those who are convinced of absurdities, can be convinced to commit atrocities
