Co-sign the advice to see a doctor, who can refer you to a specialist.

Re: OT: fear of dementia
Dementia developing at the age of 17 is highly improbable.
Also, nonsense thoughts and self analysis don't fit in with dementia.
Edit: The nonsense thoughts would be something to look into, especially if they're dangerous. But the fact that you're aware of them being nonsense is a good sign.

Are you on any kind of prescription medication? Have you ever been "diagnosed" with anything?

Visit a therapist. Thoughts looping like that can be the symptoms of any number of things like attention disorders, depression, etc. It is not dementia at 17, just some aspect of chaos called life that can be sorted out. Neurosis sometimes emerges when lower esteem issues causes one to question everything. If you are second guessing everything you may simply need to learn how to focus on one thing at a time better which is a skill that can be learned.
You may not need any medication at all. A good therapist will help you understand choices like CBT that may redirect thoughts until the patterns change. Take a deep breath and ask for help off the board where someone can actually help you in person.

17 is an age when you may have anxiety about choosing what to do with your life next.
Do you have a clear set of options to choose from and have you set any new goals for yourself like starting a job or going to school?

Too young to have dementia. Give it 60 years.

Odd thoughts before bed is normal. I think you are just tuned into it because of other concerns you have with depression and anxiety - being a little hyper vigilant over that piece. Basically it's the brain transitioning between awake and asleep, and some people are more cognizant of it and more often than others.
Sometimes I sort of like it, other times, yeah, it's a little weird.

Hi, I work in mental and emotional health (as a counselor/psychotherapist)- it sounds scary, and you're really worried and confused about what's going on with you. If you are really worried about it, you could try either speaking to a counselor/psychotherapist (you might just have a lot going on for you at the moment), or if you're worried it's something diagnosable then it's worth visiting your doctor, if you feel able to (it's sometimes really difficult opening up to other people about whats going on). Sometimes, just getting some stuff off your chest by talking to someone else can be enough, and sometimes you might need a bit more support.
I found 17 to be a really difficult time for me, mental health wise- I think you can have a lot of stuff to deal with, and when you struggle to cope with it, it's doubley scary because it's the first time you'll have experienced feeling the way you're feeling when you're struggling (if that makes sense!).

Drinking and certain drugs (marijuana) would likely help.
Don’t go straight for hard liquor, start with beer or wine. I wouldn’t waste money on a doctor.

I would avoid alcohol 100%.
Weed definitely is great for sleep.
If you don’t like THC there are lots of CBD only stuff that will help with Depression/anxiety etc.

Certainly the hard alcohol, but you’re right just go for the weed and see how that works.

Just go see a doctor for every little thing. The healthcare is messed up in this country and I’m tired of it. People like you are a big part of the problem.
