Replacing veteran kickers with rookies
Just wondering why teams do it? I remember the Chargers replacing Novak with a rookie last season and he got cut and they brought back Novak anyway. Just thought teams would want a veteran in clutch situations?

But didn't the Raiders move on from long time kicker Sebastian Janikowski to add Tave what's his face? So you could say they cut Janikowski to add Nugent, which is more of a lateral move.

The only college kicker that impressed me last year, was some kid with glasses from georgia.
