George Hill

George Hill back to the home town Pacers sending Darren Collison and Cory Joseph to Cleveland.

Would the Pacers do it?

I don't know about the Pacers (but I doubt it), but I sure wouldn't do it. Didn't want Hill before. Don't want him now. Especially at the cost of two productive players.

I wasn't one of his critics while he was here. In fact, I think he was underappreciated. But at this point, we need to start looking to the future for the point guard position, and it's not really worth it to give up two guys to get a 32 year old point guard when we can probably get that production for much cheaper.

Hold up, unless he brings back the bleached hair, ala 1999 Backstreet Boys.

huh?

so we suddenly decide to flip on the decision to move on from george hill by trading the guys we signed to replace him to get him back?

That said, he'd work FAR better as a complement to Oladipo than he ever did to PG. But still no.

While I still think the world of George Hill, it’s not at all a consideration to trade both Corey Joseph and Darren Collison for him. I’d much rather have those two consistent, dependable, productive vets and bring along Holiday slowly than have just Hill and be depending on Holiday immediately to be a productive reliable backup PG as a rookie; a recipe for failure.

Why dont we give Sabonis to for him... Hill for DC, COJO and Domantas? Maybe one more pick?

Healthy George Hill of 5-6 years ago? Absolutely.

This would be foolish. I like George Hill but his injury history, his age and his large contract make him less desirable than the current Pacers.

He just jumps at any chance to trade Collison.
