But he is hitting more power than he has before (.462 SLG vs .408 career) and he's always hit for a decent average. His line this year would definitely play as a MLB LF, but he's got 2 levels to go yet. Really he should be in Buffalo by now but there's a big logjam in front of him.

I like his chances better than Tellez. Being able to play in the field matters quite a bit. Ramirez is having one of his best seasons with the bat ever and is still only 23 - he's exactly 1 year older than Logan Warmoth. I think he's still got a decent chance to have a solid career, though he loses a lot of value moving from CF.

He's in his THIRD stint at AA. That in itself is typically a sign that the kid isn't a prospect. A player in his third straight year at the same level should absolutely be "improving" at that level, so the fact that he's hitting better doesn't really say a whole lot.

Well, he was 4-5 so far today with another homer, average to .321, and I see no harm in moving him to BUF. There is always the occasional late developer who defies the odds. Maybe an injury-free year, or an attitude change, or a coach's influence, you never know. Leave no stone unturned. Even if he ends up enticing another major league team to take him in the Rule 5 draft, passing over someone the organization wants to hide.

7 walks and 6 strike outs in 4 innings for Perez.

Sounds about right.

As down as I am on Ramirez's prospect status, there's no question that he's on a hell of a tear in July and August...4 for 5 with a HR tonight. Just needs to do it for a lot more than 30 games, and at a higher level.

Now 2-4, now batting .465. But his OBP declines to .571.

Better trade him while he's hot.

Amazing speed in Lansing, so much fun to watch. Samad Taylor has 35 SBs and has been slowly raising his average. And Chavez Young got SB #30 tonight, and also made an unbelievable catch in the OF, as he has apparently done often this season. If only Reggie Pruitt could get on track offensively, he's probably the fastest of them all on that roster.

B2B night's with homers & now Vlad's slashing .462/.571/.769 with a 22.9% BB rate and a 5.9% K rate so far in Buffalo. Only 35 PA but still ridiculous.

His injury was a blessing in disguise regarding service clock. He's way too good for the minors and if was playing all this time there would have been immense pressure to call him up.

Harold Ramirez with another monster night. He's trying pretty hard to be a prospect again.

Vlad's definitely not working on learning Triple A pitchers' tendencies and taking his time adjusting lol.

Guerrero is amazing, and a likely generational talent, but I hope none of you think he alone can turn this team around. It's going to take a whole slew of high end talent. Individual greatness probably goes less far in baseball than other team sports. The Tigers won one AL title and didn't win a WS with peak Cabrera, peak Verlander and pretty good versions of Max Scherzer and Prince Fielder. Spreading out the talent like the Red Sox have this year is probably a better measure of sustainability.

It is good to see Spanberger didn't slow down after been promoted to Dunedin. Unlike Bradley Jones and Kacy Clemens who immediately hit the wall hard right after the promotion.

Lundquist is on a tear in Dunedin. A breakout perhaps? It is going to be interesting to compare Lundquist's development vs Conine's.

I don't have enough of a read on Spanberger yet and his position is his holdback. I don't even know if he can be a good defensive 1B, but Lundquist might turn out to be a Steve Pearce type outfield option, which wouldn't be too shabby.

Vlad finishes 2-4 with another HR. That's three games in a row with a HR.

His AAA line so far: .441/.535/.853/1.388

It’s actually four games in a row.
