Re: The Newest Video Game Thread
I've found a way to make 2K fun again. Fantasy draft including the classic teams. This is a nice challange, because all teams are stacked and there's not much room for error.
I run with
Baron Davis/Sam Cassell
Michael Cooper/John Starks
Bruce Bowen/Michael Finley
Kevin Love/Oakley
Hakeem/Oakley
Hakeem is leading MVP candidat with 28/18/3/3/3
Davis is is at 28/9 and is one of the most fun players to run an offense.
Cooper and Bowen locking down the opponents best guard and wing, Oakley defends and fouls hard and Love's postgame is something else. So if you are bored and need a challange. Try this.

On 2k18, is there a way to fix how the guy you control moves around? I find the player movement to be very awkward.

Dont think so beyond getting more speed/quickness. You get used to it. You can try playing a regular game but turning on player lock to only control the star to get a feel for it with a good player.

I am optimistic. I am sure the game will be good but GTA V didn't raise the bar for me like I hoped so we will see how this turns out.

Re: The Newest Video Game Thread
For those who do MyLeague or MyGM in 2k.
https://www.facebook.com/notes/nba-2k/myleague-and-mygm-blogs-nba2k19/10155653111192267/
In NBA 2K19, we now have pre-created draft classes for the following drafts:
1960 – Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and more
1965 – Gail Goodrich, Rick Barry, Jerry Sloan, and more
1969 – Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jo Jo White, and more
1970 – Bob Lanier, Pete Maravich, Dave Cowens, Rudy Tomjanovich, Nate “Tiny” Archibald, and more
1974 – Bill Walton, Jamaal Wilkes, Maurice Lucas, George Gervin, and more
1976-2017 – ALL of the modern NBA!
You have the option of importing one of these classes at the start of every NBA season. If you are a fan of the fictional draft classes, we still offer those as well!
I don’t think I need to explain to you how much fun this feature is as you can bring Kareem, Magic, Bird, Jordan, The Admiral, Iverson, Timmy Duncan, rookie LeBron, and so many more back into the NBA for your chance to guide their careers.

That's pretty awesome but I wonder, will they look like their veteran selves right out of the gate or will they look like young versions of themselves and evolve? Like will KG look like 2003 KG or 1995 KG with short hair? Still cool though.

I'm going to guess their looks won't evolve, I expect to get the characters profiles for those players you can currently get in MyTeam. It really didn't take many resources to add draft classes to the game other than to make the players they didn't already have.

absolutely love Projekt red and Witcher 3. This game gonna be amazing. Its nice to see AAA developer that is not a major publisher puppet. No releasing unfinished game, no microtransactions, no denuvo or always online stuff. Its almost looks like this developer cares more about making an amazing game than just making money.

My guy is doin' work! Triple-double in three straight games, averaging 16/21/10/4 in that time. Oh, and I've got the Magic at 32-16 and on top of the East.

Henry Cavill casted to play Geralt of Rivia in new Witcher Netflix original series. He is also a huge fan of the game and books apparently.

Yea I have seem some Cavill interviews and he seems to have some knowledge of games, Leads me to believe he plays them. People have mentioned some single player games around him and he seems to know what they are talking about. No one who doesn't play games would have any idea what was being said.
EDIT: So apparently when he for the role of Superman he was so deep into playing World of Warcraft that he ignored the call. He also loves Skyrim, so yea, he enjoys his games.

Re: The Newest Video Game Thread
If only Destiny could put out Forsaken quality campaigns for their main release and big expansions. This is the first time since playing any of the expansions I haven’t had to say, “it’s good for Destiny.” There is actual storytelling not just reliance on lore. Each boss level is given some back story with good voice actors. The setting is a mix of Star Wars, Mad Max and Lord of the Rings. The story pushes you towards the end game/raid and isn’t disconnected from the story itself. They have a track record of taking 1 step forward in some areas to take a step back in others, but hopefully this time they just keep progressing.

In one interview, he said that he beat Witcher 3 twice. Terrible superman, but very cool dude it seems. And of course he is Skyrim lover, is there a second person in the world who thinks that game sucks, me being the first?

I disagree on him being a terrible Superman. I really think the direction/writing has screwed him. I still hold out hope that someone will give Superman a great script and direction and Cavil can shine.
