I also know that EA has some great graphics but their game is really arcadey and I feel like the controls are made for a younger audience. I didn't mind playing Live when I was like 10, but 2k is far superior even with all the flaws.
This is my opinion though, you guys may feel differently
Actually feel that the last few 2K titles have more of an arcade feel to it and is catered for younger gamers especially with their massive reliance on virtual currency in their popular game modes (Park & Pro-Am). 2K18 in particular was very much pay to win and really didn't require much skill towards shooting, dribbling etc.
Luckily it looks like Mike Wang and the other devs are going to fix this to make the game more skill based. Time will tell though. Still feel the game is going to be heavily reliant on VC. I just really hope the game isn't a buggy mess like 2K18 was to start out.
Actually felt Live 18 had the better offensive/defensive mechanics. It's just that the animation was stiff and the signature players didn't stand out from the rest of the players from an animation standpoint. Live 19 aims to fix all of this.
I am getting both games to see the improvements for myself and hope that these companies can bring the best out of each other.
