Its amazing the amount of people still screaming "the dossier has been debunked".
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XXI
^^^^^^^^ ya know...ummmmm...you guys...keep talking about Trump supporters voting against their own best interest^^^^^
but aren't you wrong...like again...and again...and again? Every thing is amazing right now!!!! Everything. If you ever wanted to open a small business...right now you can...
here's another anecdote: there is a building i pass by on my way to work every day for 18 years...boarded up storefront for the entire time i owned my business blocks away. one of the few near me. busy road... dense area. residents are at least 95% AA last year a couple of AA contractors were fixing it up. inexpensively but tasteful and well done( i watch for these things). so i stopped and got some phone numbers...Turns out mom, dad, son, and son, and 2 daughters were doing all the work themselves. And some of their exteneded family was already patients of mine that ive known for decades. So the AA local family owns and runs 3 seperate businesses in that former empty building. and all 3 businesses are very busy. a very nice barbershop with over 20 chairs that is jammed packed!! a 2000sf clothing store packed with inventory and local designers and models (sales people), and a cafe with booze and coffee and snack. Its entirely family owned and operated. Cousins work there. friends. Aints and Uncles. Nearly all of them live and grew up in the neighborhood. dad quit working for the city and runs the barbershop. Moms runs the cafe and with her 2 daughters(who went to school for fashion design). Even Grandma (62 years old) cooks and prepares coffee!! its the cutest thing. Its amazing to support it. hair cuts are only $17 dollars for adults and $11 for kids. and every chair is filled. very affordable! local owned!! TV's on the wall...sports, politics, local politics. big personalities. I mean this place is way better than Floyds barbershop in the west loop where i get my hair cut. It all goes on here. and at night, even on the weekends, the sons(over 21) have barbershop parties where they hire DJ's(their friends do it for free) drink beer and do hair cuts. The clothing store does PG-13 fashion shows with the local models. They have a huge fenced in garden for the parties and are getting 500-1000 people to show up and pay $20 just for entry...i mean...this is the southside!! we dont usually pay to enter. and a bunch of the family are police officers so there is no messing around. at least 2-3 off duty cops in uniform are found inside getting a hair cut.
Its only been open for 2 months and there is usually a line and an hour wait. They are trying to expand. nearly everyone who works there lives in the neighborhood.
i mean its the coolest thing. they mostly sell the clothes online and hire local fashion designers and use all kinds of local models (with real bodies) to model the clothes and people buy the stuff online. The local models promote on IG and sell directly the worn clothes...even worn lingerie...i think weirdos are buying it but who cares? the business is a huge success. They are doing do good that they want to expand and add a hot dog and burger and pizza joint. why go to al's roast beef or portillo's when you can support a neighbor, get your hair cut, have a beer and watch a fashion show? The cool thing is that the men are buying clothes for their wives from the models (who have similar bodies so the men know what to buy). the prices are very fair. I mean...its an amazing business model. It can work in an urban area!!
Right now the entire business employs over 30 barbers, over 200 IG models, and 10 other general employees. All of them legal citizens born here in the USA. All of them AA. I mean, is this awesome or what!!?? Seriously, how awesome is this???...they have not even had their grand opening!!! The beauty of it is that everyone gets a % of their own work/sales. My office is a few blocks away and I'm doing a smile make over for a principle involved and heard all of this just yesterday. This is amazing!!!!! Had to share.
oh...and this family is very religious, supports the police, has many family member that are either police or retired police, believes in hard work, and quietly supports trump, and flies and american flag outside of their businesses. The police support trump not so quietly.
I am seeing more and more families like this. Hearing more and more stories like this. Real empowerment is coming back to my southside. I could NOT be happier to tell you guys about this family and seeing them make the american dream work for them and many in their family and community.
I imagine that is this is happeneing in my neck of the woods, its also happening in your inner cities as well. people are waking up.

Our tax dollars subsidizing Wall Street, yet again. Elizabeth Warren will be looking into this.
Close- It should have been a reimbursement to those that actually become general practitioners or researchers. You do it after not before. Once they have finished school they will still be drawn toward the better paying position. There is plenty of behavioral economics research that backs this up. I have to believe some of them have posted on the subject.
And yes, Elizabeth Warren is hilarious this way. If you ever listen to her speak, she always comes back to "Our tax dollars subsidizing Wall Street, yet again."
I can imagine the subsidy being purely for attracting top talent, period, with an expectation that from that attracted top talent there will be a commensurate increase in graduates going into general practice (particularly in NYC area) or research. If Stanford, Yale, etc. do that already (do they) NYU is trying to compete on that level.
They already plan on certain dependent contingencies, like suspending debt until some minimal criteria is reached, and then wiping slate clean. Years ago, I was in Greenland, and at a party I met several doctors and found that their medical education was paid for by Denmark on the condition that they practice for some minimum period in Greenland. One of them had decided to stay beyond the mandatory period, while the other planned on returning to Denmark.
Warren is easy to lampoon, but the issues she highlights have been overlooked by short attention span media and electorate for years. Regardless of her motivations and regardless of whether she has good plans to address these issues, for now I'm at least happy to see a relentless, high profile haranguer (is that a word?) taking them on.
Yep, and that is the way to do it...
And this seems to be the problem. The Ds have settled on pointing out the issues and coming up with solutions that fail just the same. I guess I will continue to harangue her short coming.

Washington PostAnalysis: No, one-third of African Americans don’t support Trump. Not even close.
Trump has also attempted to inoculate himself from charges of racism by selectively citing polling numbers, which suggest he’s remarkably popular for a Republican president among African Americans.
Polling firms that have interviewed far more African Americans, and that are much more transparent than Rasmussen, all show that Trump’s black approval rating is much lower than 36 percent.
For example, Gallup has interviewed thousands of African American respondents in 2018. Its polling suggests that Trump’s black approval rating has consistently been around 10 to 15 percent through 2018.
The same is true in polling by Ipsos/Reuters:
Similarly, the polling firm Civiqs, which has interviewed more than 140,000 respondents in 2017 and 2018, suggests that Trump’s black approval rating has consistently been in the single-digits throughout his presidency:
These data remind us to be skeptical of outlier polls — especially when those results fly in the face of what we already know about African Americans’ weak support for Republican presidents in general and their strong disapproval of Donald Trump in particular.

Lol, Rudy trying to convince us that a certain person's blabbering blubberings become facts because he says so. He's Louis Carroll's character come to life - the Mad Hatter in "Trump in Wonderland".

Re: Political Roundtable Part XXI
So, our president is going to fly to Paris because he likes to watch military parades. Isn't this the kind of thing a 10 year old would do? And it's fine - as long as he picks up the bill for everything - the plane, the security, the flight crew costs, etc, etc for him and everyone he takes with him. All the waste from his vacations probably cost more than what... a military parade in DC would cost.

It's like talking about crime... just more non-sense. We should be scaling back the war on drugs and the war on crime.
Terrorist Homicides

vs.
Estimated Murders - ~15,000
Falling Crime Rate

vs. Incarceration Rates

But we can believe Trump on this...
