PJ tucket is 6'5" and has been one of the better defensive PFs/combo forwards the last couple years

Unlike Tucker Zion has a short wingspan so you and whoever +1 your post misjudged him.

tucker is list at 6'5" with a 6'10" wingspan

Zion at 6'6" with a 6'10" wingspan

you can give it + or - one inch based on what site you use but they are basically the same height and reach/wingspan. onyl zion has like 60 pounds and 14" of verticale on him

He's a power forward with shorter wingspan than your average small forward the video highlights that as a weakness.

Take heed to it he'll be a one and done player most likely while PJ spent 3 years at Texas. You're use of the "PJ did it" is off when Zion hasn't proved it against good competition in college yet let alone NBA players.

You missed the entire point. The entire point was that you dont need to be 6'10" or have a 7'2" wingspan to defend PFs at the NBA level, with PJ tucker being the example of that.

What does playing 3 years in college at texas have to do with defense/using strength/tenacity to make up for length?

OF COURSE zion hasnt proven anything. he has played 0 regular season college games. no one was saying he was proven, just that the length/heigh criticisms were overblown. Zion should be able to transition to the 4 spot on the NBA, similar to tucker or better comparisons would prbably be LJ and barkley since those guys were elite athletes like zion is.

Tucker is a great comparison, since they are near identical in height/wingspan measurements.

LJ/Barkley are great comparisons since they are near identical in measurements and also had elite athleticism for their size and heavy frames.

zion is taller by 1 inch, PJ longer by 2 inches or maybe even the same. PJ didnt measure his wingspan at the 2006 combined. his numbers vary by different resources. but even say his is 7 foot, they are still basically the same height and length. and PJ isnt close t the athlete zion is, with his 40" verticle and also not as big with zion at 275-285.

back to the point. Zion projects to be able to gaurd PFs at the NBA level, even at 6'6" due to his size/strength/athlelticism

Im curious on where you saw PJ Tucker's wingspan at 7 feet. Everywhere I saw has it at 6'9. Shane Battier was a really good defender that had a wingspan of only 6'10. Justise Winslow played primarily at the 4 last year and is a really good defender that has a wingspan of only 6'10/

Zion is the most naturally gifted/athletic, RJ combines very good talent with a high motor, and Cam is the most skilled at this moment.

It's very hard to predict who will be the best out of them all, because each has question marks:
— Can Zion keep a manageable (or more importantly, a healthy) weight that will reduce wear and tear on his body? Can he develop enough of a shooting and/or playmaking repertoire to keep the defense honest?
— While RJ is athletic, he's not a super-athlete and will need to rely upon other skills to be a star at the next level. Will he continue to develop those skills at an elite level?
— Will Cam give great effort on a consistent basis, especially on the defensive end? Does he want to be the best or simply good enough to get paid?

Any can be the best if they address these main concerns. I'd be happy with any of them, knowing that Kenny should be able to get the most out of them.

Zion is “The pick” for me! You can never go wrong with natural physical gifts coupled with an elite developmental coach & staff.

OTOH, it’s so refreshing to finally read discussions on top tier prospects as opposed to end of the round picks we’re left off since 2015...
