These two things are in no way equivalent. People want to abolish ICE because of the crimes against humanity they've committed and the sort of people they attract.

I also want to point out a common misconception on the right. ICE does not protect the border, that's the Border Patrol. ICE harasses people within the country. All of their tasks are also handled by local police departments, meaning that they are truly a redundant agency and nothing would change if they were abolished. In fact it would just mean a whole lot of tax payer money going towards things that actually help people.

Socialism gets a bad rap because the GOP has spent the last 30 years making people think that socialism = communism or that every country that falls under the banner of Socialism ends like Venezuela.

The socialism that Americans want today is what we see in Europe and Canada. We are so far behind the curve in terms of healthcare and infrastructure it's ridiculous.

Also, has any of the people against Medicare for all realized that if everyone is covered, that is better for employers who can then not have to sink money into health insurance?

I hate taxes but if I have to pay a bit more so that Americans don't have to go bankrupt if they get sick, I'm all in. Improved healthcare will do wonders for this country.

Medicare for all by itself isn't Socialism and there would most likely still be private options like in those countries. It's just the insurance that is run by the government. The service providers (hospitals, private practices etc.) would still be subjected to the ebbs and flows of capitalism in the system that was proposed by Sanders and co.

BTW, even Venezuela hasn't reached full on socialism, in fact no country ever has in modern history.

The GOP has spent the last 30 years trying to brainwash people into thinking that the Social Safety Net/Social Services that we've had for decades are actual Socialism. We're not anywhere close to actual Socialism and no one is running on an actual Socialist platform despite what they label themselves.

But she was investigated for that by Republicans and nothing happened.

I know this upsets you, but the reality is that most people on this forum and the country have no attachment to Hillary Clinton. If she committed crimes, she should absolutely be held accountable, unfortunately Republicans have investigated her many times and failed to charge her with anything.

Either way, holds no government position while Trump is the ****ing President and whatever crimes you think she committed don't excuse Trump's crimes. We very well may be in the last days of his presidency, especially if the House and/or Senate flip.

This obviously points out a major bias. While Hillary's crimes were a case of obstruction of justice, it appeared to be overlooked while they nail both Manafort and Cohen to things totally unrelated. Hillary destroying hard drives was far more relevant to the political matte on hand and she basically got a way scot-free. Deep State in play.
