Grizzlies Hire Glen Grunwald As Consultant

Glen Grunwald has taken a consulting job with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Grunwald had been the director of athletics and recreation at McMaster University.

According to multiple sources, Grunwald has had at least preliminary discussions with Canada Basketball about its vacant executive-director position.

“I had to decide between the two, it was a tough call but I switched over,” said Grunwald, who will remain a resident of the Hamilton area with his wife and children.

“It’s just a consulting job when they need some advice. It’s nothing big. … It’s okay.”

I read the news clip a few minutes ago. I hold no expectations to what he brings to the table either way. It seems to me that he's at a point in his life and career that he looks to settle down. Grunwald will still reside in Canada as he takes this job with the Grizzlies. He does have experience as he's been a GM for two tours with the Raptors and Knicks. Critics have critique his personnel decision making created his downfall in both tours with both teams.
