The key difference is body control. It's going to make Miles the better shooter, better finisher, better handler and better passer. The only similarity is a raw one: motor. MKG's is not backed by skill. And that makes all the difference in the world.

And you make these conclusions on summer league?

You have equated Miles with MKG based on summer league, right?

I have equated it with his accomplishments.

If we're comparing miles to hornets from last season, then I would say he's like a more athletic more skilled Graham.

Accomplishments over 6 years vs. 0 years in the NBA. Ok, that's a valid comparison.

We clearly don't know what Miles is or can be at this point. A bit silly to act otherwise. It's all just guessing at this point.

I dont really think miles and mkg have many similarities, but i do think mkg was better in college.

the reason mkg is a bust (as of right now) is his shot is so broke he is basically unplayable on a modern offense. that combined with injuries destroyed his confidence.

I dont think miles will be a great shooter, but at least his shot isn't totally wrecked.

Miles is a lot more athletic and stronger than Graham. They're on different ends of the spectrum, and Miles has better handles. I'd say they're similar on D, but Miles athleticism allows him to do things that Graham couldn't.

I disagree MKG was better in college. MKGs team was better in college, but individual play most of the raw statistics side with Miles. The only statistic MKG was more than marginally better in was FG% and I'd attribute that to Miles shooting over 5 threes a game. Miles even had the harder SOS, but it's unfair to really compare 2011 to 2017/18.

I think at this point it's safer to say that MKG is broken mentally, not that his shot is broken. Zero 3 point shot attempts is a mental issue, not a form issue.

Yeah MKG is toast. Hope he's saving his money from this contract.

it's definitely some of both, but given how bad Clifford was about incorporating him into the offense, there's a very real chance that Clifford just told MKG "stay out of the way and don't shoot threes". Most other coaches would have him at least attempting 1 per game. I don't want him becoming Marcus Smart and bricking 4 of them every game, but even the threat of him firing one when he's wide open is more pressure on a defense than him taking two the entire season.

Side note: I'd rather have seen Dwight fire a three once a game instead of those goofy ass drives to the rim where he'd travel, get called for a charge, or lose the ball like 90% of the time

so... a "more athletic more skilled Graham."?

similar body/length and build + too early to say miles is stronger. Graham is strong as well and has already proven he can get spot minutes at NBA 4. Graham never backed down from anyone last year and was a bully inside last summer league.
both can play 3/4 in a pinch and switch across 3 spots
solid defenders
good rebounders for size
decent 3pt shooters

miles has more bounce and better skills (ie dribbling, passing) - therefore his upside is much higher and already a better player despite being younger w/ no experience
mentally they approach the game very VERY differently though - miles flashy, confident, aggressive; graham ultimate team glue guy.

not perfect comp, but much closer to graham than MKG, imo.

I wish there was a way we could have kept Graham over MKG. Im going to miss that guy.

Celtics fan checking in to say I think you guys got a steal in Miles Bridges.

I remember scouting him in 2017 and I had him Top 5 (after Fultz, Ball, Tatum, Jackson).

I feel like him and Josh Jackson have comparable abilities, with the edge given to Josh Jackson in terms of overall potential perhaps.

I agree with this, with the exception that Bridges has more wrinkles in his grey matter. It matters.

He missed one shot :(

More triple double for Batum, and a better trade value (as long as Bridge defense is not overrated).
