Obviously the dude doesn't vote and changes his voting history whenever he feels like it under the pretense of what he would have done had he bothered to show up to vote.

I figured between being from Chicago and being a Trump supporter he voted 3 or 4 times - per election.

lifelong liberal. registered democrat. from chicago...vehemently oppose anything clinton. eyes started to open as HRC/DNC stole the primary from Bernie. live in chicago illinois where my vote doesn't matter. democrats always win. <--that doesnt make sense to you.

eyes are now open. will support trump through all of this. if there is one thing i'm certain, if the DNC political machine aligns with the corporate owned media in such a way to oppose a candidate/president...then i need to look deeper and explore. when you look at the Trump administration, what is their big crime? What are they doing so badly? Is it that bad that they are nationalists??? that they care about the american worker. american lives. the american economy. is this so bad? ive never seen the media attack anything like this. ever. every single day. all day long. 24/7 nothing but attacks.

in addition to the attacks, there is a investigation specifically into everyone around Trump to get them to talk about trump...and so far no one has said a thing to tie trump to any type of russian collusion. 2 years later what do we have? Trump paid off a woman to keep quiet that he had sex with?

Funny isn't it? That this stuff always comes down to someone having sex with someone else? In trumps's case, he created a shell so as to shield away from the act of having sex...so instead they will attempt to punish him for paying off the person he had sex with to keep quiet.

I mean....this is it!!!!!!!!!??????????????????????????? That's all you effin got!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $30Million dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He had sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????????????????????????

None of these people are choir boys. and you dont want a choir boy with no life experiences in this position. Someone who grows up in a shell will never be able to make the decision necessary to win a war. win a trade war. win trade negotiations. win in the credit markets. win anywhere. to learn human beings and how to negotiate to win you must go outand livea little. If this is the standard no candidate will ever make it through their first term.

And that is why i support trump. i dont ever want a choir boy that sucks his thumb intimes of trouble for commander in chief. i care about america. I care about the american people.
like i said, its a full rebuild.

Manafort juror reveals lone holdout prevented Mueller team from convicting on all counts

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team was one holdout juror away from convicting Paul Manafort on all 18 counts of bank and tax fraud, juror Paula Duncan told Fox News in an exclusive interview Wednesday.

“It was one person who kept the verdict from being guilty on all 18 counts,” Duncan, 52, said. She added that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team of prosecutors often seemed bored, apparently catnapping during parts of the trial.

The identities of the jurors have been closely held, kept under seal by Judge T.S. Ellis III at Tuesday's conclusion of the high-profile trial.

Duncan described herself as an avid supporter of President Trump, but said she was moved by four full boxes of exhibits provided by Mueller’s team – though she was skeptical about prosecutors' motives in the financial crimes case.

 There you go, a Trumper made-it onto the jury and ignored facts and evidence, she basically repeated the biased judge's comments that Fox News grabbed and ran with.

The locker room BS talk made him seem more down to earth for me...more of a guys guy? so knowing he slept with Stormy would have only endeared him to me even more so.

I don't know if you're bs'ing, so I'm not going to judge you, but anyone who thinks that way is the opposite of a guy's guy.

assuming Trump was BSing. hence the words "BS talk." I mean wealthy guys get ot have more fun than poor guys...and without breaking any laws. Real talk. but also...trump was just pulling his billy bush's leg. no one walks around grabbing crotches unless women are fully presenting themselves and fully demonstrate they want it. and encourage it while its happening. this isn't something you do if you are 99% sure...only 100%. and you dont initiate. you allow the woman to initiate. or grab you and kiss you first etc. I mean if i have to explain it you just aint that guy. most aren't...like 98% of men are NOT that guy. Donald trump however especially when younger was indeed that guy.

And they were just laughing about it and having fun. I mean seriously, you guys never had the nicest car in HS and almost every chick wanted a "ride home." Or the nicest APT in college? Or the panty dropper condo? Or real nice boat? Or owned a bar? seriously?? Or were a DJ at night clubs. Or the best player on the team? damn fellas go spend some money! you are missing out.

Would you like a shovel to dig that hole deeper? Again, that's the talk of someone who is the opposite of a guy's guy.

Fox News

That was one tainted jury pool. Holy hell. If the govt didn't have a mountain of evidence. This dude would've walked. Amazing. And that's with all of Judge Ellis' (who I guarantee will be a foxnews staple soon) BS. :o

I have no trouble whatever conversing, debating, what-have-you with conservatives. H@ll, I have a family full of them -- some quite well-known.

But stildropin is not a conservative; he is a... well, he's actually a nothing at all as far as I can tell. Maybe a conspiracy-theory addict?

In fact, interestingly enough, I can't identify a single conservative among those who participate in this thread. Nate -- whom I really like a lot as must be obvious -- I can't figure out at all; I don't ever seem to read a post from him that exemplifies "conservatism" in any sense in which I understand the word. Popper might be a conservative, though to tell the truth I'm not sure I can identify any consistent stance on his part.

One thing is obvious; Donald Trump isn't a "conservative." He doesn't believe in anything as far as I can tell.

No, Donald Trump is a classic demagogue of the kind that has arisen frequently over the centuries & even millenia. Read the wikipedia article for a fuller characterization of what a demagogue is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demagogue & it will be obvious. Trump talks over the head of any political philosophy, addresses "the people" as a "mass entity" by establishing an emotional connection, & makes a claim to be the unique answer (in his person not his programs) to their "problem" (no matter how the problem is described or defined) who can remake their world.

A demagogue is nothing new -- though it's new for a demagogue to reach the American presidency; it took a historically miserable alignment of political (not economic -- the economy was doing well) factors to put him in office. The weakest imaginable candidate as his opponent (weak candidate, not weak human being), a punk campaign run by that candidate's cocksure organization, etc.

All demagogues end the same way -- in disgrace, often hung in a public square or torn apart alive. I doubt these extreme ends will reach Donald Trump, as he won't have the time to tear down the fabric of law to a sufficient degree as to make them possible. But there is little doubt that disgrace will bring him down, & the possibility exists that he'll spend his last years in prison.

More likely he'll make some kind of deal to resign office & thereby avoid (or at least minimize) prosecution. This too is sometimes the way a demagogue's career ends. Usually, when it ends in this manner, his "base" (those who connected to him via "belief" -- as he called for -- rather than reason) revert almost instantly to one or another conventional set of beliefs.

The groups & institutions that can't do that (e.g. Breitbart) will lose their entire franchise at that point w/ the exception of a fragmented group of the "truest believers" who will harden further & that way come to serve as an example of what to avoid (viz. unwavering McCarthyites following his fall).

I'm guessing that not many here will have heard of "Father Coughlin," the isolationist priest who was enormously popular in the middle and late 1930's. A Fascist sympathizer, who received secret financial support from Putin I mean Hitler, Father Coughlin's anti-democratic, anti-semitic, anti-"Jewish banking cartel," pro-German weekly radio broadcast had an audience estimated at thirty million listeners.

OK...if that's what we got? then i'm ready to impeach trump. But that aint what we got here. I doubt even cohen says it happened that way.

You're wrong on these points:
"Ignorance of the law is no excuse" is the way I remember it being expressed.

I do kind of like your idea, however. If it were put in practice, we'd find that hit men tended to start their careers after graduating law school & passing the Bar exam.

"He lives in Utah."

What I find particularly entertaining in this thread is armchair lawyers arguing that something isn't illegal literally hours after Michael Cohen, a professional lawyer, plead guilty to committing that very thing hours before

That's easy and I know you know it too.

Tribalism.

The same thing that allows Levin to claim that illegal campaign contributions aren't illegal
(why did Cohen plead if they weren't illegal?)
when we can be all but certain if HRC had done this, the Russo-GOP House would have
already been called back into session to draw up articles of impeachment.

We have lost the ability to evaluate behavior prior to knowing if the behavior
we're evaluating was done by someone in or outside of our own tribe.

Same thing that causes Trump supporters to chant "lock her up" even though an exhaustive multi-year multi million $ investigation found her absolutely innocent of any and all crimes. These are people more interested in forcing their hate on other people than they are in the truth.

Maybe I'm naive but to me at least there's a difference between trying to comply with overly strict campaign finance laws and making honest, largely unavoidable mistakes, and taking out your Weiner and whizzing all over campaign finance laws on purpose.
