Maybe I need to see the new arena in person, but just from looking at the pictures, it looks new and nice, but also looks like a typical basketball arena. Maybe that's a good thing though, as the Bradley Center was not very suited for basketball.

To me, from watching the video on the Kings arena, it looks cool and unique. Especially the openess of the grand entrance. To me, the coolest looking arena right now is the Pacers arena. The coolest looking arena ever is the Boston Garden.

The Garden is a glorified Bradley Center. Unless you’re talking about the old Garden, I never went to that one.

I've been to both Garden's. The old one was a dump, no AC, terrible. Historic yes, some great teams played there. The new one is better of course but it's not all that. The parquet floor is cool. Indian's arena is pretty nice.

More than 40,000 have registered for tickets on Sunday and they're letting in 10,000 at a time and the weather is going to be **** so this will be fun.

Yeah unless you really want to see the ceremony best to come later in the afternoon. Although since the tix were free I'm sure people scooped up a lot more than they will actually use.

Anyone hear anything about an open house on Saturday morning just for STHs?

Yes, an email came out like 2 weeks ago to RSVP for a timeslot. No details on what is going on though other than you can see your seat.

I logged into the Bucks app and for me at least (as a STH) it shows “tickets” for a STH open house at 10am tomorrow as well as a ticket for a free gift to claim at the event.

Yep, I've always heard the old garden was a dump. I meant that visually, the seating looked pretty cool.

Just got back and I was like meh while three casual fans loved it. Seemed like all the cool stuff didn't improve game watching. The concourse and food court area we're cool but that has such an immaterial impact on how I enjoy the game it doesn't matter to me. Was disappointed that you really can't see much of the game when grabbing a beer and standing by the main food area. It's only on one side court so if you aren't front row on the rail you can't see anything (including the jumbo Tron as the ceiling is low). Upper deck is really small. I'm in the corner and walked only four rows down and I'm only row five from the front. Way better views.

Panorma club on the fourth level is cool and open to everyone but again you cant see much of the game.

Bottom line is the bucks will be here for the next two decades. That's all that matters to me so extremely excited about the arena.

I also just got back. Upper level was definitely more open and airy feeling with many open views into the seating area and court from the concourses. The lower level definitely felt more enclosed like the BC did, likely due to the suites and other premium areas blocking what would have been open views into the seating bowl.

Loved the smaller feel of the upper level in the seating area with the smaller sections/rows and it made me happy I didn’t pay the heavy premium for lower level seats (although I’m guessing upper level seats will get bigger price increases next season). Upper level seats could use a little more leg room but my seats on the aisle so not too worried about it.

Touring the Fiserv Forum, it is almost shocking how much more intimate it is, versus the BC. The nearly continuous span of seats, beginning at the periphery of the court, makes you feel ‘at one with the action’, even in the upper reaches of the 200-level. More theater-like than stadium.

It is no longer a torture test in economy-class seating to view large-scale indoor events in MKE. My calibrated sneakers indicate a 33-inch row spacing for the upper deck – 1.5 inches more than the BC – tolerable legroom for my size 12’s. The lower level is more generous. The seat width seems adequate for the even the most sedentary calorie afficionados.

Did not have the opportunity hear the quality of the sound system, but it's supposedly no longer like listening to speakers wrapped in heavy plastic and placed underwater.

The basic geometry keeps the court readily within your field of view, from nearly everywhere I checked. I had developed my neck muscles in the BC, keeping the court in view, but they will atrophy here. The previous jungle-gym of sight-imparing guard rails is no more – supplanted by barely discernible, transparent barriers.

The seats nearest to the court resemble obscenely-padded folding chairs, but lacking armrests. Ascend a few rows to get armrests. Cupholders abound. The upper concourse is finished with a dark, asphalt-looking material, while the lower resembles a posh terrazzo mall.

There are rails a few rows away from the perimeter of the court- presumably to deter irate peasants from staging a revolt at the end of poor performances, or to forestall “Malice at the Palace” scenarios. It may prove difficult venturing down to get a Bucks Dancer's autograph and/or phone number, lest you can borrow a “SECURITY” shirt and badge.

The concession areas were not in full operation yet, and it looks like they omitted individual beer taps in the seats to pinch pennies. Overall, Fiserv Forum seems like a comfortable place to escape the vagaries of existence for awhile – even if the performances themselves may suck.

Supposedly the acoustics are going to be very good for concerts. At least for a large venue. Certainly it depends on the type of music. I'm looking forward to Foo Fighters.

Toured the arena as well. I think the whole thing is pretty fantastic. They nailed the smaller touches, with some really nice design aesthetics (exposed pipes, artwork, drink platforms at urinals, etc.) that some may not notice or care about, but I really liked.

Also, tons of great local food (burgers, brats, chicken, tacos, gyros, pizza) and drinks (craft and non-craft beer, easier access to cocktails and wine). I'd be curious if they treat the restaurants similar to Friday's at Miller Park and keep it open year round. Feels like a souped-up food court that I'd be happy to hit up over lunch.

Lots of great views around the arena. Our seats are upper deck corner, front row. The Bucks have been preaching about how the new arena is less steep. Not sure I agree. With the upper deck, you have to walk down narrow steps to your seats, and it's a little unnerving, especially if you have a few bourbon-laced mimosas in your system. The ability to order beer to your seats will help.

Another qualm I had is with the seats directly behind the baskets up 25ish rows. These seats are removable for concerts, but because of this, have very shallow cup holders. So shallow that they wouldn't offer much assistance in actually holding a cup. A juice box maybe, but not a beer.

Also, after touring the entire arena, I didn't see any super-kid-friendly areas. Maybe they'll add that later, but as of today, there was nothing I saw that could adequately occupy an easily-bored 5- to 8-year-old before, during or after a game. That's at least one area where Miller Park is better.

Overall, it's got me even more excited for the season and in-game experience.

I logged into the Bucks app and for me at least (as a STH) it shows “tickets” for a STH open house at 10am tomorrow as well as a ticket for a free gift to claim at the event.

Glad I asked in line about a ticket. Once I turned off Wi-Fi and closed out of app once, I was able to get back in the app and get my ticket. I think the digital ticketing is going to be a nightmare initially. Between less tech savvy fans, dying batteries, poor Wi-Fi, etc. It is going to be a pain selling to certain segments too.

Arena itself is first class. Very nice. I thought the upper level was where I saw a vast improvement. Very spacious concourse, nicer concessions, ability to access Panoramic Club easily, etc.

I felt like the sightlines of my upper level baseline seats, row 2, were similar to BC which is fine. I will miss being by the exits though. It is now a 15-20 step walk up/down. Agree with the steps being steep assessment.

Looks like alot of good food options. I do like that it is more open to watch game but if in line I don't think you can see court.

With having younger kids now I was kinda hoping for a kids area as well. There is a family area but it's more things to take pictures by. maybe they will expand on this.

They did a good job of making everything look nice. For example there's no Concrete Jungle corners and the tunnels underneath all seem to have some kind of personality to them.

I did like the Panorama Club, I just don't know when I would use it. If you're into the game, of high-top chairs to see the game. And the rest of the area of reminded me of like a big conference room. Good social option though.

Overall it's a very nice Arena and one we can be proud of. Look forward to games.

I'll eat before/after a game, I'm not going to be in a food line with the game going on so I don't really care if I can see the court or not from a concession stand. Typical NBA game is 2:15. I can go that long without food. And they have a ton of screens to watch the game if Imust eat during the game. And I'll just tap the beer button on my phone if I'm thirsty (assuming they have good beer options for that app).

As far as digital ticketing works, just screenshot your ticket and save it in your photos. I used to add it to my Apple Wallet, but screenshotting it was even less of a hassle. Then you don’t have to rely on your internet connection at all.
