Kid, black people gun a mass amount of their own down on a daily basis. Police don’t have to do it. It is perfectly fine if murder each other apparently. No fuss. No riots. No protests.

So do whites, asians, hispanics and arabs junior.

oh and no reason for law enforcement to be held to a higher standard or anything. Poor uneducated scrumbags murder each other in drug infested ghettos so we should in turn fail to hold educated trained professionals accountable for anything.

grow up.

personally I think there is an equal amount of idiots on both sides. I cannot for the life of me understand the point of kneeling and why someone would think its accomplishing anything. I also do not understand why anyone really cares all that much to be outraged. Just the perfect balance of morons in my opinion.

Seeing as how I stopped standing once I reached the age of reason I'm not going to get triggered by it. I always got a good laugh at Wolves games when my buddy and I would sit and people would be talking and pointing. How disrespectful!

I would be a little disappointed in that I feel like LBJ is more measured when it comes to making political statements. He seems to have learned the lesson of non-violence protest.

It would be fun to see all the losers get angry over it. I'd actually support him more if he kneels.

They should be held to the same standard as everyone else. No higher or lower.

I don’t need to grow up kid. I am just pointing out the stupidity and hypocrisy of those that protest murder but don’t do it when their own do it. Like you said though they are poor uneducated scum bags so you can’t expect much from them.

Maybe it's because the black community attribute "Don't tread on me" to the government killing its own citizens while white people attribute it to having to pay when their cattle grazes on public lands?

Absolutely a broad brush, but a necessary one. It's pathetic that discussion of the government killing its citizens is met with "B..Bu..But Chicago!" whataboutism. It also helps show how the whole "Don't tread on me/small government" is nothing more than self-service BS.

Well if you are comfortable with your tax dollars being spend on law makers and law enforcers who cannot exceed the standard of people who break the law maybe its clearly not a matter of maturity with you but intelligence.

This.

The media knows how to rile up the black community and they do it well. Black guys are killing eachother in Chicago and the hood every day. Noone cares and very little reporting.

instead they will devote all of their energy and attention to one where preferably where a white guy(but doesn't necessarily have to be white, see Zimmerman) shoots a black person. This is because their purpose by the people that own the media is to cause enormous **** and add to the divisiveness among the sheep of society. these incidents are extremely rare compared to daily tragedies in cities like Chicago, it's just that they are what is chosen to get reported for the aforementioned purpose.

free country. do whatever you feel is right. I mean you're criticizing Lebron freely, so whats up with that?

the moment Lebron can't 'stand' up for himself in this country would be the day you would be told to shut the **** up and put a permaban on that mouth of yours.

Not to mention that poverty and crime in the black community also results from a history of racism in this country. Not only the legacy of slavery but other discriminatory policies such as housing segregation that continued up until very recently. Clueless racists here seem to think that there has somehow been a level playing field and that black folks are somehow naturally more prone to violence.

It's because human beings by design are pretty ignorant to the concept of time. We weren't meant to understand and contemplate events that happened 500, 200, 100, hell even 50 years prior to us being alive, and the impacts they have on our current well-being. We, as a species, can only understand time as it relates to our own lifespan, which has increased significantly in recent years due to non-biological/natural sources. People think that segregation ending 50 years ago is a LONGGGG time ago, when in reality its a blip on the radar of civilization. Wrongs cannot be fully righted in that little amount of time, that's what people need to truly grasp in order to get on the path of better racial relations.

Chuckle at myself for 2 seconds as I am reminded that the US still plays the freaking Anthem before every club game for no apparent reason whatsoever.

True, though many ignore racism that is ongoing today and is all around them, or they choose to not look into it. Some just have a basic inability to see things from the perspective of others who have a very different experience. If we are really paying attention, how can we not be outraged at black people gunned down in the streets at a massively disproportionate rate?

To begin to understand how our racist history impacts black folks today, I find it instructive to learn about the history of redlining which occurred in some shape or form until recently. Black folks have been historically shut out of opportunities for home ownership which is a primary way that whites have gained wealth and economic advantage. The “black neighborhoods” the racist poster spoke of were a direct result of these racist practices that intended to keep them poor and segregated. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/14/opinion/blacks-still-face-a-red-line-on-housing.html
