Also can anyone explain why the Bucks went this route? Is it cheaper for them not being able to print? Causes less problems at entry?

I found a listed ticket price on ticket info/details tab of the digital ticket BUT mine had the price I paid for the tickets...not the actual face value for people buying single ticket.

I will never understand why people waste their time in the arena eating, drinking and looking at their phone, instead of yelling, chanting and abusing the refs. Such a waste.

The phone thing is crazy. Especially people in the great (corporate) seats that obviously were given a ticket and don't give a **** about the game. Get the **** out.

They like the “scene” aspect of going to the game. They want to take a selfie to let everyone know they were there, hopefully spot ARodg or another Packer, check out the trophy wives near courtside, and then pay attention and cheer the final 5 minutes of the game.

You Just described 80% of people going to a heat game, replace Rodgers with every celebrity, and include gawking at ridiculously hot cheerleaders, showing up at the second quarter and leaving midway thru the 4th.

No, 99.9% they did not. Maybe the ones that did this year. I know I locked into a 2 year deal prior to last year and there was no mention or fine print of it. Honestly it hurts Ticket master the most doesn't it? Because the people that may have sold all of their games on there are gonna sell other ways.

There's nothing that specifies 1/3, but they gave themselves plenty of wiggle room, on the 2 year contracts from last year. Here are a few points in my 2 year contract that I'd guess they'd point to:
3. Bucks tickets, including but not limited to Bucks season tickets, are owned by the Bucks. A Bucks ticket is a revocable license issued by the Bucks to the individual or corporate entity name that appears on the account of record. Breach of any of the terms herein and/or on the reverse side of the ticket shall entitle the Bucks to all available legal remedies. The Bucks reserve the right to revoke the license granted, in its discretion, by refunding the purchase price for any unused tickets.
So we don't own the tickets, and they can revoke our license to have the tickets at their discretion, so long as they pay us back. In years past, no way they'd do that because they'd never resell the tickets. This year, with more expected sellouts? Who knows. It wouldn't be a good look, that's for sure.

17. The Bucks reserve the right in their sole discretion to amend, update, or modify policies and procedures relative to Bucks tickets and any payment plan upon written notice to the season ticket account holder of record.

So they can change the rules as they see fit, assuming they put it in writing (which they did by the email).

But my guess is they are actually leaning on this one:

20. The sale or resale of tickets by unauthorized means is prohibited and violation of this policy may result in the cancellation or revocation of unused or unissued Tickets. The Bucks reserve the right to cancel or revoke tickets where, in the Bucks’ sole discretion, the purchase of such tickets is for the primary purpose and intent of reselling tickets on the secondary market. In addition, Bucks tickets may not be used for advertising, promotion (including contests or sweepstakes) or other trade purposes without the express written consent of the Bucks.

I'd guess they'll say if you plan on selling more than 1/3 of your tickets, your primary purpose is to resell the tickets. Also, this technically means you can't sell them on StubHub since that is an unauthorized means of sale.

In reality, it's a ridiculous policy, and doesn't look good for them, but they definitely gave themselves the wiggle room to technically implement it. I am curious how closely they'll watch things like StubHub and such. It's really annoying this is where they're going with it.

If they implement it they'll get some pretty terrible press. So they're really dumb if they do implement it.

I would hope it's kind of a friendly reminder slash scare tactic and that it is not something they would actually Implement. I could see it getting really messy if they went to revoke tickets. I mean I think there are number of people that go in as a group to get tickets, so they're going to be transferring to multiple people for multiple games. Businesses are probably transferring to different people as well. I mean for me the main reasons I get the tickets are I get to pick the games I want to go to, stable pricing, and playoff priority in addition to some of the benefits / gifts they'll throw at you throughout the year. In that process I understand I'm going to have to sell games just due to proximity, etc. The only reason I use secondary sites is because most people I know aren't interested in going into the games, especially in some of those early-mid 2010s teams. We'll see what happens. I haven't had to sell any on Ticketmaster yet and only transferred a few games so hasn't really been an issue so far.

It's simple - all they have to do is provide a good enough product that people are willing to pay at least face value for tickets. If the team is doing great and the new arena experience is good, people will buy up the remaining tickets from the team at which point they shouldn't care about our secondary market activity because they are sold out.

But if their incompetence/dysfunction leads to yet another middling 7/8 seed-type season, then the average fan isn't going to pay face value (as we've seen for years at the BC), and that's when the secondary market will take ticket sales away from the team, which is probably the scenario they are worried about.

They don't care as much about us making $ on the popular games - they just don't want us selling for under face value because then they'll have to start offering similar deals to compete, and that's not a precedent they want to set the first year of the new arena. If we're 3 months into the first season at the new arena and they have to offer 2 tickets and a bobblehead for $30 to get people in the building, that's not a good sign.

I can't imagine Ticketmaster or StubHub would love this either. I don't know if the Bucks are running solo with this "rule", but if not I could see them getting involved. I mean Ticketmaster promoted that NBA Ticket Exchange quite a bit the last few years and now you have an NBA team restricting the use of it.

My first week of college orientation, not in Wisconsin (see to the left), I asked my roommate - who was from Connecticut - if there was a bubbler in the dorm. He pointed it out and said, "You're lucky I know what you're talking about. Don't use that word again or people will think you're crazy."

My first job outside of Wisconsin was in South Florida back in 1999, I mentioned to my co-worker as we headed to lunch, "I need to quick use the Tyme machine first."

her: Blank stare :o "What?"

me: "I just need to stop at the tyme machine."

her:  with a bizarre confused look, "What's a time machine?"

Me: "I just need to stop at the bank and get some cash."

Her:  "You mean an ATM?"

Me: "uhhh..." Realizing I've been saying TIME machine, and for the first time in my life it dawned on me, tyme machines are ATMs and Tyme machines actually sound crazy....you are not in WI anymore. "yaaa...that's what i meant."

Pretty sure that legalese is on most team’s season ticket packages.

Don't get me started on people and cellphones. I was 20 yards from the stage at a Metallica show and everyone around me was taking photos (with their phones vertical of course). I'm like "There's a **** show going on right in front of you! Watch it!"

More often than not all they are doing in posting it to social media to show their "friends" that they finally did something interesting with their miserable lives. "Look at me! Look at me! Validate my existence!" Bite me.

Also, this:

At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

At a concert I'll record a couple minutes for posterity but yeah so many "watch" events through their phones. Ridiculous.

The most baffling one is for sporting events. Go on the team website or youtube and like or bookmark the page with highlights if you want to remember the game.

I definitely am guilty of snapping pictures and videos at concerts and games. Sometimes they end up on social media, sometimes not. Mainly I do it because I enjoy going back and reliving some of the moments 3-6-12 months later. Pretty sure my social media clan thinks I'm a loser regardless of proof I provide to the fun police.
Inadequate perception I reckon it's from the Valium

Guys, seriously, your arena experience is 100 times better when people are actually participating. Not just watching but participating. It takes a life of its own, it transcends the game, the team, the result, everything, you go to the game for your brothers next to you and the thrill of being a hardcore fan. Hard to explain with words but do yourself a favour, if you ever find yourself in Europe or South America make it part of your trip to go watch a derby, soccer or basketball. You'll get it straight away.
