The Clippers might be a bottom 5 team next year. They might be even worse then us!

Didn't SGA kill it in summer league?

Beverly should be the target. He'd be perfect. 2 second rounders and Daniels for him. Let's do it.

Ok, after crunching the numbers and watching a ton of video (Both highlights and full game video), i think i can be talked into Milos Teodosic. Very Steve Nash-lite. Pretty much ZERO defense, but excellent at setting up players. Like early Nash, he can hit the 3 (And just about any other shot with regularly), but seems too focused on facilitating for others than taking the shot (Something Nash corrected but yet still admitted after retiring that he wished he did more of).

I'll admit it, Whenever Milos name was brought up i turned my nose up at the idea. I couldnt even bother to imagine a circumstance where he would be our starting PG and that we would be any good, but after much research i am warming on the idea.

I never really liked him because he is not a good defender and is very injury prone, but I don't think many options (that I'd like or be ok with) are really viable options and I think he is a realistic guy we could get, because I read that the Clips were not planning on keeping him. I think they want to keep Beverley too (who I'd rather have, but who really knows how healthy he could be). I still don't think I'd give up much for Teodosic though. Maybe that Chandler deal mentioned but I don't know that they'd want him. They would probably want some sort of incentive. We already traded away our own 2nd too didn't we?

Pass.

Esp if you're going to start no defense Ryan Anderson (alongside rookie Ayton) and offensive-minded Booker. With Milos on the team, that leave you with Ariza or Warren at SF as your ONLY defensive player.

No bueno. Find something else. Beverley is your best bet right now...Or maybe just roll w/ Shaq H

I’d call for McDonough’s head if he traded Jackson for Brogdan and Henson.

One bad summer league and a lot of people seem to have given up on Josh Jackson already.

The last thing I want to see after tanking all these years is giving up early on young raw players for the purpose of getting older / lower upside ones in an attempt to 'win-now'.

Josh Jackson and Dragan Bender were both players drafted with a long term perspective in mind - I'd rather hold on to them and see if they pan out than sell low on them.

Dragic for the Bucks pick and Chandler?

I'd be Ok with that. Miami gets an asset and an expiring. We get a starting PG who can shoot and distribute.

I still prefer Beverly over Teodosic but he is better than what they have at this point from a pure distributor of the ball

Gambo tweeted an answer he says Goran is available. So that probably means No Goran

Warren to the Clippers for Beverly / Johnson was an idea from Sidery

A league source told AmicoHoops Saturday that Miami would gladly trade Dragic for a first-round pick. The Phoenix Suns, who are looking for a starting point guard after sending Brandon Knight to the Houston Rockets, could reach out to the Heat in regards to acquiring Dragic.

Gambo mentioned he was available. I think Dragic makes a lot of sense with Koko. A first rounder and filler would be ideal because we could keep TJ and have real depth for once. Dragic would come off the books at the same time as Anderson.

One of these threads said that MIL were looking to possibly move Bledsoe, Henson and pieces. Perhaps there is a trade there with MIA for Goran and Whiteside?

Maybe we could jump in as a third teamed and snag Goran for Warren and the bucks pick returned?

Brogdon
Middleton
Warren
Giannis
Whiteside

Is good.

What a ball-buster. This is it, isn't it? The only known starter-quality PG available. This guy is a boomerang.

I feel like we are going to get Dragic. The Rockets trade doesn’t make much sense unless we had a couple of target PGs lined up. The Heat are probably making calls to see if anyone has a better offer for Dragic but there just really isn’t any playoff team that needs a PG. I think we’ll end up trading a protected 1st for him along with the expiring contracts of Tyson and Daniels. Possibly move Davon Reed too so they get a young player.

Dragic, along with Anderson and Ariza add quality veterans that can actually contribute to a winning culture unlike Tyson who was washed up to begin with.
Dragic / Booker / Ariza / Anderson / Ayton
Melton / Bridges / Jackson / Warren / Bender

That might actually be enough to sneak us into the playoff. Savvy veterans that bring defense (not Anderson), three point shooting, and leadership. We’ve already blown through most of our treasure chest of assets, we should accelerate this timeline as long as it doesn’t jeopardize our current youth group.

Of course for that, but they will want one of our own firsts. Any pick we trade would have to be protected though. And I would probably not trade next year's first. Our 21 first would make sense since they don't have their own and at that point we should be decent.

I get the push to make the playoffs, but trading assets for guys like Dragic or Milos just seems pointless. I want to win as much as the next guy, but I doubt any of the guys mentioned really makes us a contender for the playoffs. All they do is take minutes away from the young guys and we waste our assets acquiring them. I dunno, that is just me.
