This is good news, I have to admit I wasn't very optimistic on him. Would be curious to know if this is just a prolonged good stretch or was there some kind of adjustment, is he just healthy, etc.

I haven't seen him play outside of the highlights or really done any digging at all, but apparently scouts believe he's selling out his hit tool for power.

2nd in Ks behind Monte Harrison.

It really is worth mentioning:

Monte Harrison has 183 k's. 183 STRIKEOUTS. Wow. Maybe they picked up Schoop to pick up this slack that is now out of the system? Sheeeesh.

(Ray has a meager 147 :o )

Dudes, any updates? Anyone looking good or on a tear? I depend on you guys in the know to keep up to speed, otherwise I would have to do the research myself, and that isn't happening!

Season is winding down. Ray and Brown were Southern League most outstanding hitter and pitcher. Tyrone Taylor has somewhat redeemed himself too. I wouldnt be surprised to see him selected as a rule 5 guy.

How has Keston held up? I know he went through a couple rough weeks that really lowered that average, but did he pull out of it?

Well, Helena is on a five game win streak as Ward and Turang continue to hit well. CS has to win to get in as well as Biloxi as far as I know. Mud cats done.

Sky Sox needed to win one of four final games to win their division and move on. Alas, in vintage Brewers fashion: 0-4. We will no longer have an CS affiliate. Thank the heavens.

Almost a fitting end. I'm guessing they were heavily affected by all of the call ups.

We will. Helena is moving to Colorado Springs.

It's not really misery in this case. Helena is 4,000 feet above sea level. Now Colorado Springs is 6,000 but it's not like we're going from sea level to the mountains. And it's pretty easy to skip a player from Advanced Rookie ball if you want to.

This would be an instance of why rankings and such matter. We dangled him to avoid having to put him on 40. Another team is touting him out there before said season even ends.
