Well many gave McD credit for making Jackson miss his Boston workout so he'd slide to us.

I’m not sure that’s necessarily a good thing. Perhaps if Jackson doesn’t miss his Boston workout then Celts take JJ and Tatum, a player that’s younger and looks superior in about every way, falls into the Suns lap. Of course Jackson had a promising second half of the season but Tatum looks like a special talent.

That was pretty much my point. The question posed was basically don't prematurely give credit. And I was using last year as an example that people praised it when the winner all along in more ways than one from the draft was Ainge, whether or not he would have picked Tatum all along anyway. Mitchell may be the bigger prize, especially relative to draft position, but when you consider that Ainge traded down from #1 and got the Kings top 1 protected pick for next year AND Tatum to TRADE DOWN two spots AND get Tatum, that's almost a mind blowing win. Even though they are kind of a rival, I kind of hope the Kings win the lottery and keep their pick because Boston is just adding too much good talent while also being a contender. If they add like the 2nd or 3rd pick again next year, it'll be crazy. They'll probably end up with Zion, who might be a little overrated depending on his outside shot, but they probably don't need another wing and the top of that draft is wing heavy and Barrett looks to very likely go #1.

After all that bitching and moaning I thought you guys would be ecstatic after this trade. Chriss is hot garbage while Knight is awful and coming off a major injury.

I really think Anderson can help our team. Major props to McD for making this deal happen. Now we have flexibility and could even be involved in a blockbuster trade.
